Adds bandits to ambush you in certain biomes at sunset.

Description

Blook's Bandits introduces bandit enemies who can ambush you in certain forested regions as the sun sets!

Some of the dense forests of Zone 1 provide great cover... and they'll spawn directly around the player instead of generic world spawning. They'll only spawn on natural surfaces, too, to prevent any weird spawn issues or uninvited guests.

Spawn mechanic details (spoiler):

They spawn in the following environments of Zone 1: the Swamps and the 'Seedling Woods' forests with the birch and aspen trees. They do not spawn in the Azure or Autumn forests or any non-forested areas.

They spawn around sunset, from 19:00 through 21:59, and will despawn after that range. They're meant to be a danger at sunset, not an all-night threat.

They spawn on grass, mud, gravel, and wild plants only. This means if you have a base in one of these biomes, they won't spawn inside your base on your new floors!

 


Each bandit has a chance to drop their red mask as a wearable item!


Early Access

Just like Hytale, this mod is early access. Features can be added, changed, or expanded as the game evolves.

Bandit camps in world generation will be added in a future update to either supplement or replace this spawning mechanic. More bandit mobs will be added at that time (bandit mages, bandits who throw daggers from afar, etc.)
