Description
Beneath The Tides
Currently with the update 3 many mods along with this one will not load properly, a temporary solution is to simply turn off Mod Validation in the world settings.
Beneath the Tides is so far in very early stages, but the goal of the mod is to become a whole different experience than Orbis, like Nexus and Karpak. The experience of Beneath the Tides will be that of an oceanic survival game, drawing similarities from Subnautica, but with a less futuristic feel. It will also be a bit more combat oriented, and will have a taming system.
Features
The mod will feature a ton of biomes, creatures and gear, with it's own weapon types and vehicles. It will be a mix of themes, some biomes will be based on seas from earth's prehistory, while others will lean towards sci-fi or fantasy. Same goes for the creatures. Weapons, tools, vehicles and general tech will follow the same principle with a mix of realism and fantasy. Zones will be introduced at a later date. Pressure systems will also be in place when it is possible.
WIP
Beneath The Tides is in very early stages, so what function does the mod fill right now?
Until we launch the very dimension, it will be split like the World Gen V2, with portals to different biomes. The biomes available will host their own resources, creatures and gear, which will be useful in Orbis. For example, right now the Diving Suit is craftable through resources found in 1 of the biomes, and this will be how we will add the content up until the mod is ready,
So far there are a couple of biomes actively being worked on, each with their own creatures, tools, recipes, resources and progression states. Progress is being made every day, so for specifics check the changelog!
Here are some screenshots of early progress:
Biome, The Rocky Shoals

In this picture you see three creatures, the Cameroceras, Megalograptus and Amplectobelua

Biome, The Sanctuary Forest
This biome is home to the first predator of the mod

The creature is called the Reaper Whale, and is a surface hunter found in The Sanctuary Forest

And here is a peak at the Crude Submarine, a vehicle the player will need for longer voyages in hostile waters.

We've also implemented a workbench for diving suits, so far only containing crafting recipes for the base game suit.
As we previously mentioned, all things are WIP and feedback would be much appreciated!
