This project brings dozens of new building aesthetics inspired by early industrial architecture — think towering brick factories, ornate ironwork, smoky chimneys, and the raw mechanical beauty of the dawn of the industrial age.

This mod is in early stages of development! While I have already created hundreds of new items, there is quite a bit more to go- I'm just a solo guy and have spent the first few weeks just learning my way around Hytale's tools. Release deadline snuck up on me faster than I expected, but I think you'll be able to easily see what I'm going after here.

I have a Discord set up, a Youtube Channel, and an active set of Social media accounts- I'll be monitoring and building on those as I am able,  because now at this stage the community response and feedback is going to be important.

I have a few priorities while doing this:

Create a range of aesthetics and tools to supplement, and enhance upcoming features Simon and the rest of the Hytale Devs have already proposed. "Create"-like automation and a steampunky feel are at the forefront of my inspiration!

Impact the vanilla game internally as little as possible so for whatever reason its evolution and if needed, wont break your worlds if a reason arises to remove the mod.

Make the resources that already exist in the world useful and leverage my own systems for introducing new ones without overloading the world gen or breaking maps if added to existing ones.

Step into a new era of gritty, atmospheric city-building with AWI Industrial. This project brings dozens of new building aesthetics inspired by early industrial architecture — think towering brick factories, ornate ironwork, smoky chimneys, and the raw mechanical beauty of the dawn of the industrial age.

Whether you're crafting a sprawling 19th-century-inspired metropolis or adding authentic period flavor to your existing cities, these new structures and systems will help you create visually rich, historically evocative districts that feel alive with the spirit of innovation, labor, and progress.

Every new building aesthetic, every workstation, and every system in the mod is a love letter to the era that still inspires me. What began as an experiment has become a living, evolving project — one that lets players experience the same sense of wonder, ingenuity, and atmospheric beauty that has captivated me for years.

This mod isn’t just content; it’s the culmination of decades of daydreaming, research, tinkering, and pure enthusiasm for the Industrial Revolution and its Steampunk descendants. I hope it brings that same spark to your worlds.

Enjoy the smoke, the steel, and the soul of the industrial evolution in Hytale!

Well, you seem to have interest in bringing that vintage era industrial vibe to your builds and parts of your world so let's start with the easy stuff.

At the very beginning you'll want to make an Architect’s desk. It's where you're going to sit down and start dreaming up your empire and see the list of current workbenches, trimmings, trappings and the rot. You can find it under the regular list of work benches in the Hytale standard workbench.

Gather the materials and make that desk! From there on, the Hammer Forge, Industrial Grinder, and Kiln. All of the benches and worktables have important uses, and the order in which you make them is up to you. Your'e just getting started!

Take your time and explore the workstations. I'm in process for setting up a in-game and external wiki, this will be coming in the near future. I've done my bet with the short time so far to make getting around as intuitive as possible.
