Adds crafting recipes for Crude, Copper, Cobalt, and Thorium shovels.
Description
As of uploading this mod (2025-01-15), there does not appear to be a way to craft Crude, Copper, Cobalt, or Thorium shovels in the game. This simple mod adds crafting recipes to each - using existing recipes for other tools using the same materials as inspiration. Now you can go crazy with shovels like you always wanted!
Installation
Simply move the downloaded AddShovelCraftingRecipes.zip ZIP file to Hytale/UserData/Mods which is wherever your Hytale is installed. Do not extract the ZIP file.
If all goes well, you can find the mod when editing an existing world or creating a new one. I can't think of a reason why you can't enable/remove the mod to an existing save.
FYI
- The Iron shovel can be crafted as normal without the mod.
- Found a bug where the Copper shovel does not appear in the crafting on the workbench when game is not maximized while loading save. Odd bug and most likely a Linux quirk but something to keep in mind.
- I created the mod when I wanted to see if a shovel was something I could make early in the game (Just got to copper), so there may be quirks later in the game I haven't encountered yet.
- The missing recipes is most likely due to an oversight, and I imagine will be added sooner rather than later. This mod may be unnecessary in the coming patches, I will update the page as such.
