We're looking for an addon author who would like to take on the future of MogIt!
Neither of us play WoW anymore so we can't guarentee how much longer it will be maintained.
If you're interested, please get in touch via Twitter :)
Can't see other classes' items? Where is color sorting? READ THIS for the long answer.
Description
MogIt is an in-game catalogue of transmogrification items with the aim of helping players build their own sets!
- Build up your database by logging in with different characters, and then browse items available to them on any character
- Compose and save own sets using the Preview feature
- Share sets using special links
- Mark items you want and save them in a wishlist
Report bugs and request features here.
Known issues:
- Some items, when added to wishlist or preview, will appear as the base version of the item. There is nothing I can do about that. If you try to link these items from the default wardrobe you will also get the link of the base item, and that's something you could report to Blizzard. (and if they fix that, it should work in MogIt, too)
- Items outside of the catalogue may take into account items that aren't usable by your character (eg wrong class or faction) when indicating collected items.
- Artifacts are still not supported and probably won't be any time soon. (mostly due to API limitations)
Thanks
I'd like to thank the following people for helping MogIt become what it is today:
- The translators who have contributed to the localization
- Wowhead for giving us permission to use their data in the item catalogue
As for a more consistent interface: I'll take this into consideration, but it won't take priority over new features/fixes (unless they're both related).
In the last version, I made it so if you click a UI panel (like the AH frame) then that will come to the front. Same goes for MogIt (if you click it, it will be on top). Maybe that resolves the problem you were having.
Related to making the filters more accessible- after switching tabs and applying a new filter, the control model loses all its equipped items... *please* prevent this from happening in the future!
I would also appreciate a more consistent interface.. in color, dimensions, docking, etc. Maybe I am excessively picky and the lack of symmetry bothers me. :)
The collapse button is very nice, but often when I go to search for items in the auction house/bank it becomes troublesome. When expanded, the gallery window is on top of basically everything else. Item names are displayed in gallery tooltips on hover... I have to hover over a model and remember the name of an item, collapse the window to search, then pop the window back out for the next item.
This is a miracle addon; I can't thank you enough for your work!
Can I suggest adding a search feature? A lot of the time I will already have a few pieces of armor in mind, and use your addon to find other pieces that work well with them. However, finding the textures I already have in mind can often be a pain. Being able to search for certain items would be great.

If you can help with the translations for one of the other locales, please send me a private message here on Curse :)
It would be cool to have an option to include items that are no longer obtainable (i'm thinking about Rhok'delar :D) in the item catalogue so people who have those items can see what it looks like in combination with other equipment.
Thanks for this addon :)
In the next major version my plan is to allow users to save items to the Wishlist in "groups" (and view all the items in a group on the same model). I'll think about creating a way to manually add unobtainable items to one of those Wishlist groups (or to the control model).
- It would be nice to track items I already have, preferably by either automatically or manually hiding them from the main list and maybe showing them in a different "Collected" window, similar to the current Wishlist one.
- On a related note, there are a ton of things on the list I don't ever want, it would be nice to be able to hide those as well.
Anyway, good luck with this awesome project and kudos for making it so complete right out the box.
