Enhanced Raid Frames
"...makes the stock raid frames as good as Grid2 and VuhDo, but without the learning curve!" -Tom Hanks, probably
Enhanced Raid Frames is a raid frame add-on for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands and World of Warcraft: Classic that adds many small but significant features to enhance the (already quite awesome) built-in raid frames, allowing the raid frames to function much closer to add-ons such as Grid/Grid2 or VuhDo — the most notable addition being configurable aura indicators.
Along with options to adjust the out-of-range distance, frame scale, frame opacity, overlay target icons, and numerous other small features, Enhanced Raid Frames adds 9 aura indicators for each raid member, forming a 3x3 grid overlaying each unit frame. These indicators allow for showing the presence, countdown time, and stack size of buffs and debuffs in any configuration that suits your needs, which has become absolutely vital for endgame content. While designed with healing in mind, other common use cases for Enhanced Raid Frames include competitive PvP, endgame tanking, or really any type of gaming that involves quick and easy access to vital information.

Examples:
Example of indicators on a unit. Displayed here are the cooldown frames for Rejuvenation, Germination, Regrowth, Ironbark, Spring Blossoms, Wild Growth, and Lifebloom. Notice how each HoT has a specified location to maximize readability and reflex in combat.
This is an example of what you can expect in a raid setting after setting up Enhanced Raid Frames. This example is for a restoration druid, but an experience such as this would be common for all healing (and non-healing) classes.
Configuration
The configuration can be reached through the standard addon options (ESC -> Interface -> Addons -> Enhanced Raid Frames)
Aura Indicators
The following can be used as buffs/debuffs:
- Name Buff/Debuff - Make sure this corresponds exactly to the name of the buff/debuff
- Spell ID - ID of the spell to track (useful when the spell name is ambiguous, i.e. Germination)
- "Magic / Poison / Disease / Curse" - To show any debuffs of that category
- "PvP" - To show if a unit is PvP flagged
- "ToT" - To show if a unit is the target of your target
Likewise, there are many other options to configure such as whether to show cooldown text, stack size, tooltips, etc.

Enhanced Raid Frames was inspired by the amazing Blizzard Raid Frame: Indicators addon by Szandos, for World of Warcraft prior to Legion.
Fixed, I'm pretty sure. Test Version 1.1.2 please :-)
Default buffs still showing on blizzard raid frames when box is unchecked since the update today.
Yeah, Blizzard changed the API and didn't say anything about it. Bleh.
All fixed though. I also snuck in some CPU performance enhancements. I just pushed a new build, so it should be updated here once Curseforge approves it.

I downloaded the version uploaded 18 hours ago. That is the same time you wrote this post so I assume it's the newest build, and the default buffs and debuffs still aren't hiding themselves properly (https://i.imgur.com/lI7ZiRU.jpg). As you can see my Greater Blessing of Kings buff shows both the default icon and the Raid Frame Indicators icon. If I check and uncheck the "Show Buff Icons" box, the problem will temporarily be fixed and I will only see the RFI icon. Reloading UI or relogging causes the problem to occur again.
It's not just your addon, though. I have "Show Debuffs" unchecked in the default interface options (https://i.imgur.com/1nWJ41S.jpg), but since 8.2.5 they're no longer hidden. A similar addon to RFI, BigDebuffs, also doesn't seem to be hiding or scaling these default debuffs properly...
Sorry for writing you a book, but I'm trying to be thorough. I think Blizzard screwed something up this patch.
Thanks for being thorough :-)
Yep Blizzard rewrote and changed a TON of the raid frames code, so I had to modify my code to adapt. Many of the functions I was using before to trigger different events were deprecated in favor of new ones. The good news is after thoroughly looking at the changes Blizz made, they're pretty good overall. Bad news is I had to rework a crap ton of the code to adapt. No problem, I just wish the would have put that in the patch notes! grrrrrr.
Anyway, I just release Version 1.1.1, which should fix everything. Please report if you still have errors.

I did a battleground this morning and it seems to be working great! There's just one very odd problem now: Raid Frame Indicators is attaching itself to my nameplates. For example, I will see a Storm Bolt icon which is clearly using the RFI size and text. This causes two problems: first, I already have a nameplate add-on so I'm seeing these debuffs x2. Second, for some reason I can no longer click on my nameplates to switch targets. Disabling RFI fixes this.
I haven't used your add-on for very long so I don't know whether the nameplate behavior is intended. Thanks again for everything.
Hrm that's odd indeed. Can you take a screenshot of it please and send it? This issue might be best opened on GitHub so I can enquire further
Fixed I think

Great addon thx for all the work.
I just have a lil request:
I like to use the "show (standard) Buff icons option" and but want to pick a few of my buffs to be shown elsewhere (e.g. Top-Left).
While this works, it's not perfect. The buffs will be shown on 2 placed instead of only the one I wanted. I need an option for the "show Buff Icons" option to ignore those spells/buff I altered to be shown elsewhere.
At least I couldn't find any option to solve my issue.
It would be great if you could help me out with this.
Best whishes and thx again for your work & time.
Fantastic addon, it makes the default frames usable.
