Conceal – Changelog
Major internal rewrite for smoother and more reliable behavior
This update focuses on improving how Conceal decides when UI elements should appear or fade, without changing the addon’s core purpose or removing features.
Smoother fading and transitions
- Fixed cases where UI elements could flicker, snap, or briefly disappear.
- Fade-in and fade-out animations are now consistent across all frames.
- Removed abrupt alpha jumps that could occur during transitions.
More consistent visibility rules
- All UI elements are now controlled by a single, unified visibility system.
- Combat state, target presence, and mouseover are evaluated together instead of through separate logic paths.
- This prevents frames from getting “stuck” visible or hidden in edge cases.
Improved reliability during combat and targeting
- Entering or leaving combat no longer causes conflicting visibility updates.
- Target-based visibility behaves more predictably, especially when Action Target Mode is enabled.
- Mouseover behavior is more consistent across action bars and frames.
Better performance and stability
- Visibility is now recalculated in a lightweight, periodic update instead of many scattered triggers.
- This reduces redundant updates and helps the UI self-correct if something goes out of sync.
- Overall behavior is smoother during fast gameplay and heavy UI interaction.
Cleaner handling of settings
- Changes made in the Settings panel now apply immediately and correctly.
- “Hide during combat” options behave consistently across all supported elements.
- Removed redundant and outdated internal logic that could cause unexpected behavior.
No feature removals
- All existing options and features remain available.
- This update focuses on correctness, smoothness, and long-term maintainability rather than changing functionality.
In short, Conceal now behaves more predictably, feels smoother in moment-to-moment use, and is more robust under all gameplay conditions.
