For some reason the Position X caps out at 1835 which means I can't have the quest list on the left side of my ultrawide monitor. Can you increase the cap on that?
Looking into this now as it's supposed to be capped at the width of your monitor.
EDIT: This should now be resolved in 1.7.1, can you try it out and let me know if you're still running into this issue?
In reply to Stormie25:
I just saw there was an update and thought, "no way that X position cap is already updated". And sure enough, it was! Works perfectly. Thanks for the fast update!
Hello,
This addon bring Amazing features ,coould you please add option to turn off automatic tracking of new accepted quests? They are automatically tracked now by default and addon is not listening interface option to stop that. Thanks!
Hey Setrisa,
If I'm understanding you correctly do you effectively want the ability to turn off all the filters and manually track your quests?
In reply to Stormie25:
Hi Stormie25,
Now when i accept new quest it is added automatically in the butter tracking list on my main screen, i want to turn off this automatically adding of new accepted quests in the list. I want to shift left click on every quest i need to track at the moment and add them manually in the butter tracker list on my main screen.
Should be fairly simple to implement since it's just disabling functionality.
I'll add a feature request to disable filters to the roadmap for 1.8.0.
In reply to Stormie25:
Thank you !
Now i found in the interface options menu one option called "Automatically Track Quests". It says that "If a quest is accepted/updated it will automatically be tracked on the tracker". So it seems like this button is not working as intended. When i uncheck, it still automatically add quests in the tracker when they are accepted. This option is what i am asking above, but seems like it is not working. I understand this like they should not be tracked by default, but if you check this they should start to be automatically added in the tracker.
P.S: I think that functionality in User Interface - Sorting option is not working as intended. When i select Don`t Sort it is still sorting quests in the tracker by some kind of criteria, but i cant understand what exactly.
Hey Setrisa,
That isn't actually correct.
The default functionality is that it tracks everything and filters out quests as they violate criteria.
For example if a quest isn't in your current zone and you have Current Zone Only checked.
Then it will be removed from the list.
So what does "Automatically Track Updated Quests" do?
Disabled
- User untracks quest and the quest is added to the overrides as an untracked quest
- User gets progress on quests
- Tracker removes the quest from the overrides, however the quest is still impacted by filters.
Enabled
- User untracks quest and the quest is added to the overrides as an untracked quest
- User gets progress on quests
- Tracker sets the quest to be forcibly tracked regardless of filters.
One key example where this distinction matters is say you accept a quest in Undercity that actually takes place in Hillsbrad Foothills.
The second option will make it appear on your quest log regardless of the fact that you have Current Zone Only enabled.
Hey Setrisa,
Just a heads up that 1.8.0-beta.2 now has the ability to disable the filters / enable manual quest tracking!
In reply to Stormie25:
Thank you so much !
I still have the blinking issue in the latest version. Here's a video.
Someone on GitHub discovered that it's linked to having the Questie tracker enabled.
Can you disable the Questie Tracker and let me know if you're still running into this?
This issue show now be resolved in 1.6.7, let me know if you run into any other issues!
In reply to Stormie25:
Probably a separate error, but I get this stack dump on load in 1.6.7.
And even if I check visibleQuestCount for nil:
This should be resolved in 1.6.8, let me know if you're still running into this.
In reply to Stormie25:
Just to be clear, the blinking was gone in 1.6.7, but this is an issue in 1.6.7 and 1.6.8.
Also, if I enable Current Zone Only, Load Quests executes twice and the quest list is constrained as appropriate, but if I disable Current Zone Only, Load Quests executes twice but the quest list remains the same as if Current Zone Only is still enabled.
If I change any other setting, either all the quests are shown except the current zone quests, or only the current zone quests are displayed.
edit: I reverted to 1.5.2, which was the last working version for me, and the green/double frame issue persists. I'm sad.
If you're referring to the green frames in your screenshot that's because you have "Developer Mode" enabled.
EDIT: Also that second frame is Questie's Tracker.
In reply to Stormie25:
RE: Green mode. Ah, that makes sense-ish.
RE: Questie tracker. I didn't even know Questie had a tracker! Disabled. Everything works now.
Those green frames represent the clickable areas to view the quests / open the context menu.
It's just to make it easier to debug issues with them. :p
I love this Quest Tracker Addon! Amazing work :)
Would be cool if we could change the fonts though!
