Description
Designed primarily for use within my guild while learning the Deathbringer Suarfang encounter in Icecrown Citadel, this addon tracks additional (unwanted) blood power generated by the boss.
Currently it shows the number of tank hits with Rune of Blood, hits given by summoned Blood Beasts, as well as extra Blood Nova hits where it hits more than the targeted player (if other players are within 11 yards).
By default it announces to the raid the names of players that take a multi nova hit. There is also a report button, which defaults to announcing to the raid the current amount of additional rune of blood, blood beast and blood nova generated blood power, as well as clickable labels to report the players hit by each monitored ability.
Announcements can be configured to be displayed as a say, party chat, raid chat, officer channel or just to your local window. Auto announcing of player names that are involved in a multiple hit blood nova can be toggled on or off.
The basic use of the mod is as follows :
- Before the Saurfang encounter starts, enable monitoring by clicking the button labelled 'Disabled' so that it shows 'Enabled'.
- 3 counts are shown, one for each hit type. The first figure is the total number of hits, the figure in brackets is the number of hits for the most recent cast.
- Blood Nova hits only count additional hits, where more than one person gets hit due to people being too close to each other.
- At any time you can press the 'Report' button to announce the current additional blood power counts.
- When the fight is over or if you are wiping up a failed attempt, click the Enabled button to disable monitoring so that further blood power isn't counted due to purposely wiping (assuming you want to report the count after a failed attempt).
- Before starting a new attempt reset the count using the command '/bpm reset'
- Type '/bpm' for additional options or check the addon interfaces panel (/bpm options)
Possible future changes :
- Auto showing of the addon when entering ICC
As mentioned before, I put this mod here just so guildmates can get it easily, but feel free to use it if you find it useful. I expect that its value will decrease with time as the encounter becomes easier for your raid group, as it is mainly a learning tool.
