Changes for Blind Gamers with Midnight
Addon Restrictions
Many addons will stop working due to new code restrictions called "secret values." Essentially,
addons can no longer act on custom conditions related to most combat information—they can only
display information without processing it.

BlindSlash
BSAura Replacement
Most features of this addon will continue working. However, BSAura is being removed and
replaced by Blizzard's built-in Cooldown Manager. You can add sounds to alert you when
cooldowns become available again.
Potential BSAura Issue: If you encounter errors, run this script (I don't want to force-delete
custom BSAura setups): /run bsaura={}
This shouldn't be necessary since the code BSAura used no longer exists, but run it if errors appear.
Cooldown Manager Setup
Since the Cooldown Manager is hard to find, I've added it to the escape menu buttons on the right
side.
Basic setup:
1. Open it from the escape menu
2. You'll see all your spells with cooldowns in the "not displayed" section
3. To add a sound alert for a spell, move it to another section using the period key
4. Use the period key again to set an alert (sound or text-to-speech)

Combat Audio Text-to-Speech
Blizzard added combat audio text-to-speech to the game. Type /ttscombat help to see
available parameters, or search for "audio" in the options menu.
This feature can announce casts, targeting, party health for healing, and more.

Boss Mod Replacement
Since boss mods will be heavily restricted, I've created a basic replacement (currently untested) that
attempts to announce boss spell casts. Please report if it's annoying or doesn't work.
New Commands
• /compare - Compare items when hovering over them with KeyboardPort
• /ui - New UI navigation method (old method moved to /uiold)
Improved UI Navigation
With KeyboardPort addon, /ui now opens a dropdown menu where you can select which UI
element to navigate—action bars, the new damage meter, and more. Press Escape twice to return to
normal.
You can also add elements like the target frame (to view target buffs) or the objective tracker (for
quest buttons or tracking when the Q key in the waylist doesn't find quests).
Note: Adding the party frame won't give ConsolePort much functionality.
You can add the entire UI aswell there.
Adding the entire ui opens up /jump or J key in the waylist to search your ui.
Examples:
• /jump mail - Jumps to the mail frame if you have mail
• /jump spellname - Jumps to that spell
• /jump search - Finds search boxes
• /jump quanti - Finds quantitiy textboxes.
• Works with items, options, and similar elements
Minor Changes
• Added search box to bottom of friends list
• Search boxes now announce themselves when focused and read back what you type
• Scroll bars now scroll until all elements are new with one click instead of one element at a
time
• Options can be filtered by addon names
• Some BlindSlash options are now available in the regular options menu
• keyboardport is finding more text in the ui. for example crafting reagents quantity or talent
points amounts
