LUI_Aura is a very lightweight addon that allows you to track
Buffs / Debuffs / Casts / Abilities / Cooldowns / Threat
Resources / Attributes / Units / Keybinds / Gadget / AMPs / Innate
Configuration:
- Type /luiaura (or /la or /louiaura) to open the option panel or
- Press the LUI Aura Button on the Main Menu / Escape Menu to open the option panel.

There is no particular setting for that but you can try and use the offset setting (x/y coordinates) to adjust its position.
Something bothers me with the 'Icon overlay' : it takes the cd of the entire spell and not the time remaining we set in the 'aura'. So if I put an icon for a spell with a 30s and I set <=3s remaining, I almost can't see the icon overlay, I would like it to be based on those 3seconds, not the 30s. Could you add that ? (either by default or as an option)
Also, when I change the options of a group, it doesn't always apply to each aura (annoying as well - it seems it happens when I changed the settings of a specific aura, then it ignores when I change the group settings, like icon alpha and stuff);
Still a great addon, keep it up.
The thing with the overlay you are describing is a personal preference thingy. Some like it to decrease over time, some want it to increase over time. Thats why you can change it to whatever you like by using the "Invert" option.
Aura Settings inherit settings from their group. If you change a specific inherited setting in your Aura, then it will stay that way, even if you change something on group level. That's how it works and how it should work. Nothing wrong with it.
If you want to reset the specific/changed Aura setting, you can press the "Reset to Group Settings" button at the top right corner of this particular setting (its on the right side of the headline).
Is there a place where we can discuss configuration strategies? I'm trying to set up some auras, and I've read the guide (nice work) but still can't get it to work. Really looking forward to using this.
Nope there isn't really. I once thought of making a website to share and discuss aura's but i never had the time to do it :(
If you need some help, just write me a private message with some details or maybe ask someone in your guild for advice, so that they can help you over teamspeak and so on.
The logic behind how auras work, is pretty much straight forward.
yo lui Ive been getting a "System: please enter a number" on fields like "Name" and "ability name" I know this is something wrong within the field validation or somewhere else so I commented this part out to make the mod work on my ststem
this is under "--Integers only" on function Settings:OnTextChange(...) on LUI_AuraConfig.lua
This sometimes happens after importing/exporting stuff... its really odd. I will take a look at it. Please reload your ui if it happens again. This should fix it.
After some difficulties and a period of time where i lacked motivation, the next update for LUI Aura is finally finished! Hope you like it!

The only thing that could still be changed is that stuff that's bound to the mouse are noted as Unbound, maybe make those LMB/RMB/M1/M2?
And maybe also have gadget key as source.
That's the only thing I would change but I understand if you don't do it for a while yet :P

It's already working for mouse buttons. I guess you cannot track LMB/RMB when using MouseLook, since only the primary keybinding gets retrieved.
ForgeUI seems to be able to do it:
Not entirely sure how it works but they draw a little mouseclick image.
When using ActionButtons like ForgeUI Actionbars, CandyBars and other Bar-Replacement-Addons, you have of course more possibilities, since these objects come with additional functionalities and properties.
For the moment, i'm going to leave it the way it is right now.
Alright, I'll just have to say don't play with Mouse Look or face Unbound :D (Or manually type it in).

Am I missing something or I can't see a resource selection in triggers? I'm trying to make an aura to show punish icon only when suitpower is less than X, but just don't see the options to have resource based triggers...
With LUI Aura v3 Resource, Health, Interrupt Armor and some other triggers got combined into the new "Attribute" Trigger, which basically covers everything you can think of.
