Hey, let me start off by saying thanks for the great addon! It surely takes a lot of work to keep up with this very desired addon. I wanted to say I know it will take a long time to add new encounters and such, but would you mind a small update just to add support for the new combat resses?
Thanks!
I'll definitely add them, but unfortunately I don't have the new souls. (Budget restrictions currently in place)
So, if anyone would like to speed up the update, you can find the Ability ID by typing /kbmability whilst in a role with the BR equipped.
Thanks in advance!
Sorry I'm only looking back to these comments now, but thank you for the update! :)
got this addon a loot dictionary?
No loot dictionaries at the moment. But I am thinking of including them in each encounter menu. This will however probably be a plug-in.
How much memory should this addon use? I've seen it using over 45mb lately.
I just enabled it while fishing at Titan's Well in Stonefeild and it's using 25mb.
It caches all units you see. You can see this in action by typing "/libsunit debug", type that again to turn off the unit cache monitor. You'll see Safe's Unit Lib (also my work) cache and dump the units you're seeing. All this is so KBM keeps a fairly stable performance level.
Also, the way the addon API works is that all textures used can never be removed from memory. I do use my own recycling method, and if you watch the memory usage it will rise and fall as the garbage collection cycles (this helps performance).
25mb does sound about right, for a base level, when you include all textures. It'll probably rise if you use menu's as this will load more textures as needed.
I just got the lil red icon again, moused over it and saw addons using over 50mb and KBM isn't even on. I disabled all my addons then re enabled the 4 I regularly run and it went back down to 5mb. (all w/o logging out)
I'll try to keep a closer eye on this and see what exactly is going on.
If the monitor icon turns red it's usually latency, not system performance.
First, awsome addon. Thank You.
Would you please make the actual filename and the version you list on the main page match?
It says "Newest File: 1.5.7" when the actual file that is downloaded is called "King-Molinator-r765".
The number at the end of the file is the Revision number, not the version number. When you open KBM options the version would show 1.5.7.765 as the current version.
I know that. The numbers still don't match. The only way to see if I have the latest version is to hit the download button and see what filename comes up.
I'll leave the revision on :)
Thank you ;)
I'm getting several errors.
one is thus popping up with KBM: Ready Check 0.3.6 as the error header:
Error: KBMReadyCheck/ReadyCheck.lua:1743: attempt to index field 'Rows' (a nil value)
In KBMReadyCheck / Buff Add, event Event.SafesBuffLib.Buff.Add
stack traceback:

[C]: ?
SafesBuffLib/LibSBuff.lua:334: in function 'UpdateCycle'
SafesBuffLib/LibSBuff.lua:515: in function <SafesBuffLib/LibSBuff.lua:515>
Then when I go to open KBP Options the following pops up:
King Boss Mods 1.5.7.765
Error: KingMolinator/Modules/Menu/MainMenu.lua:65: attempt to index field 'Anchor' (a nil value)
In KingMolinator / KBM Open Options, event Event.Slash.kbmoptions

KingMolinator/Modules/Menu/MainMenu.lua:65: in function 'Open'
KingMolinator/KingMolinator.lua:2318: in function <KingMolinator/KingMolinator.lua:2314>
I hope this helps
EDIT: Just want to note that going back to 1.5.6.764 version rectified this issue and no issues have shown up thus far with going back a version. It may help in trouble shoot.
That looks more like the new one you downloaded had become corrupt somehow. Try a fresh download of the latest. Those errors would mean everyone would be suffering from them, unless there's an initial error which is being hidden.
Create a clean (delete or backup the current log file, if you keep them) non-combat log (/log) then /reloadui then type /log again to turn it off. Try and find the very first error in the chat log.
Any chance of adding the Dendrome weekly bosses?
It might be possible, although KBM encounters are not really designed for drop-in encounters such as world bosses, Rifts and trash mobs, but I do have plans to adjust KBM to allow for them.
When I first got this addon, I was set the options and move the layout to where I felt most suited having it put there but every time I logged on, it would reset and I would need to redo the layout even though I saved it. Recently, there was a layout given to me that was all over the place and the options button has vanished. Is there a way to manually type in chat to get that options window back open?
There are two ways. /kbmoptions will bring up the Options Menu and /kbmdefault will list all the items you can set to their default state (for the menu button this would be "/kbmdefault Button").
