Fresh Animations is a work in progress resource pack that gives an animation overhaul to the
creatures in the default look of Minecraft. The aim is to make the mobs more dynamic and believable.
This pack uses a feature of Optifine called Custom Entity Models (CEM) to add new animations.
IT WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY WITHOUT THESE FEATURES!
Having issues? Make sure you have these settings:

- Fresh Animations Add-ons is an extra resource pack for additional features for Fresh Animations.
- Load this pack above Fresh Animations to work correctly.
- These add-ons are mostly suited for the vanilla look and aren't texture pack compatible.
The Add-on pack currently adds:
- Animated blinking textures
- Some extra texture details and fixes to a few mobs
- Some extra model details to a few mobs
- Some extra texture variants for a few mobs

If you ask a question that is already answered in the spoiler below, I will probably ignore it.
Frequently Asked Questions:
A: Nope, Fresh Animations is just a resource pack! It does require a Optifine to work, though.
A: It's not as simple as porting it. To make a version that would work on Bedrock, I would have to start from scratch and it would end up being completely different. So that's not something I plan to do.
A: Blender for concepts, Blockbench for entity model creation, Paint.net for texturing, Notepad++ for animating, Minecraft Java Edition + Optifine.
Q: When will the next update come out?
A: Whenever I feel happy with the new content. Please don't ask for a release date.
Q: Can you add player animations?
A: Sadly no. Optifine currently doesn't support player animations. It may be possible with other mods, but I haven't looked into it yet.
Q: Why isn't the ____ animated? Can you add it?
A: Not all the mobs are animated yet. Fresh Animations is a Beta pack, so it is developed over time, so new mobs animations will be added in major updates.
I work and add new animations at my own pace, so please refrain from requesting animations.
Q: Why do some mobs have white eyes and no new animations when I load the resource pack?
A: This occurs when you haven't installed the Optifine Mod correctly, OR Custom Entity Models is not enabled in Video Settings. The requirements are listed in the description above ^
Q: Why do some mobs have big purple/black parts when I load the resource pack?
Q: Is Fresh Animations compatible with ____ ?
A: Probably not completely. Textures for some mobs break with other packs as they are resized in FA. Other packs with custom entity models won't work as it would override the models FA. Otherwise, textures for most mobs should be fine.
A solution for some packs is to make an 'addon' version using Optifine CEM Parts.
Q: The packs is warning me that it's made for another version of Minecraft. Which version should I get?
A: Any version of this pack should work as intended in most versions, as long as there's a version of Optifine to run it. I recommend using the latest version for the latest updates and new animations. Don't worry about the version warning!
Q: Is there a way to use Fresh Animations with Sodium/Iris for Fabric?
A: Fresh Animations required Optifine features like Custom Entity Models (CEM) to work. Sodium/Iris does not have these features, so using Optifabric is the only way to use it with Fabric. There is a fabric port of Optifine CEM being developed, but it's in alpha stages of development and does not work properly with Fresh Animations at this stage.
Q: With Fresh Animations 1.7, why are the mobs invisible / have invisible parts?
A: This happens with some game versions including 1.18.1, 1.18 and 1.17.x. Use Optifine 1.19 HD U H9 or newer to use the main pack. for 1.18.x and 1.17.x, use the alternative version of the resource pack (FreshAnimations_v1.7_Alt.zip).

Agreed, if thats even possible though..
so, the "base" pack says it's for 1.19 and up and we should use the "Alt" version for previous versions, but the RP menu says the Alt pack is for "newer versions" even though i'm on 1.18.2, is this normal? the same applies for the Addons pack even though the download description says it doesn't work on 1.17.X and specifically 1.18.0
should i force the pack either way?

don't worry about the warning for the main pack. the addon is for 1.19+main pack only, and it breaks some things with the alt, although you could delete those from the addon if you really wanted
A large portion of the mobs animations are not working like the skeleton, stray overlay, enderman, and a few others

the main pack is for Optifine 1.19 or newer. Use the alt version (under additional files) for older versions

mine have same errors, i'm using it in fabric 1.19 with optifabric, it works just fine with he 1.6.1, but 1.7 have all that bugs for me too.

what is the ''missing details'' on the alt version, because i tested and all the mobs are working normally (it worked thanks, just want to know what is the difference bbetween the two versions)

saddles for pigs and striders, horse armour, creeper charge overlay, separate drowned and stray overlays (these things only work in 1.19 anyway), cem part support for addons, some things from the addon pack don't work, some things are done differently (using newer optifine features that break in older versions) which could be problematic, but is mostly fine.
the ghast, piglin, piglin brute, zoglin, hoglin, and magma cube animations aren't working and I tried to see if the files were in the pack and they weren't but this says you changed those animations. Any idea what's happening?
