Description
A pack focused on making the game semi-realistic, and by which I mean difficult...
Great majority of the crafting recipes has been changed to fit the progression and make them actual hell
A public server is planned after the full release
If you like this pack, please consider supporting me on patreon :3
FEATURES
Body temperature and thirst:
You now get 2 additional stats, body temperature and thirst
First one is dependent of the biome that you're in, so choose your home wisely
Second one, oh well, you'll loose thirst over time, just like hunger. You can regain it by drinking water
(note: you'll need a canteen or glass bottle to do that, inpure water will cause a thirst effect)
Removed healing from food:
That's right! If ya take damage ya stay that way! Then how do I regen my health? Glad ya asked!
This modpack adds plasters, bandages, or if ya wanna be really fancy - medkits, every of these items heal you half hart per use
Then what's the point of making better ones if they heal the same?
The difference is in durability, each next one has more durability than the other. And that means, restores more health total
Oh what is it now? ye want to have an easy way to heal out of danger?
Sure. While standing next to a lit campfire you will SLOWLY regenerate health, emphasis on the slowly part...
Random spawn point
Because fu! Until you set your spawn point by sleeping you spawn randomly in 10000 block radius from the world spawn!
Don't worry, you won't loose your items, all of them are contained in graves that only you can open!
Realistic Torches
you have 4 options here
-Fiber torches (extremely dim, ya need to light em, they burn out over time, and are extinguished by rain)
-Stone torches (extremely dim, ya need to light em, and are extinguished by rain)
-Normal torches (pretty bright, ya need to light them, they burn out over time)
-Infinite torches (pretty bright, and that's it. these are the default vanilla ones)
Obviously you're gonna start with the first ones and slowly climb your way to the last
SPOILER ALERT: At night, you can't see shit
Oh what is it now? You'll just find torches in the wild and take them home? not so fast!
When you break Infinite torches instead of the item itself they'll drop glowstone and sticks!
Sound overhaul
That one's actually pretty good. Ya need to try it for yourself
Additionally blocks muffle sounds around, making the whole feel more realistic.
Reduced F3 info
Ya wanna return to your death point? Don't think that'll be THAT easy!
Now, to se your coordinates ya need to be holding a compass in your hand
Tell me that's not realistic!
Same with time, you need to have a clock to tell the exact time of day
New item physics
Ya wanna throw that stick real good? Now ya can!
Hold Q to change how far you'll throw an item
Additionally different items have different densities, ie. some will float in water, and some will sink
GregTech based progression
I noticed that lotta people don't like this mod "because it's too hard"
Well, now it's here. And it's required to play the pack! I love that too!
New potions and enchantments
It's pretty easy to get lost in that amount of enchants that there is, even in vanilla...
well, why not add like 10x more? surely that'll help!
But worry not, I gotcha fam
Every enchantment now has it's own description, so ya know exactly what each one does... like that's gonna help you!
Custom Crafting Recipes
Yesyes, most of the crafting recipes have been reworked to better fit the pack!
Which makes the majority hellishly expensive, but that's kinda a YOU problem.
Increased Difficulty
Cause why not? am i right? also, FU!
All the monsters, Bosses, and whatevers are now 3x as difficult! there's a pretty simple solution tho... just don't go out at night!
Rarely any monster can spawn as it's blighted variant, which increases it's damage, speed, and health by a TON :3
Seasons
Yes, there are seasons. What do they do, ya might ask?
Different plants grow at different seasons. And in winter, well, nothing grows
Because quadruple fu!
Ya won't have to worry bout that for a while, cause ya start on spring (at least so I believe, don't quote me on that)
Beekeeping
Ya heard me right, B E E S
From bees ya can obviously get honey, and wax (which is used to fireproof wood and some other stuff)
And why am I mentioning it? cause it's semi-required for progression... while you can just ignore it, it'll make your like 10x more difficult
cause fu once again!
Custom items
There are 5 I believe, custom items.
4 em I've added cause the default modded ones didn't want to behave well as a crafting ingredient.
And the last is a pretty important crafting ingredient
Disabled vanilla ore generation
Now ya need to skidaddle around your world to find ores
They are pretty rare, but if ya find one ya wont need more for a long time.
Small tip: on the surface you can sometimes find dusts of metals and minerals, usually under them (any depth pretty much) there's a vein!
Rough Start
And when i say it, I MEAN IT. The beginning is really difficult, and is not forgiving.
Cutting edge technology being Flint or bone tools, and iron being a real pain to even come close to getting.
Good news are that after you get through the beginning... it all becomes... even worse!
yesyes, late game crafting recipes look like I took a can of alphabet soup, stuck it onto a power drill, and said "whatever hits the wall is in the recipe"
Additionally the sheer amount of worktables, machines, and processes to obtain a single, even mid-game, item is worth a headache.
