Description
This is an updated version of a mod pack I made and released on version 1.7.10 but for 1.12.2. The goal of this modpack was to assemble the greatest classic Minecraft mods together into one modpack. I put countless hours of effort into this pack to ensure it was comprehensive. I looked through many sources as well as youtube videos, Minecraft mod forums, classic modpack modlists like Tekkit, Direwolf20, FTB Infinity Evolved, etc., and I even discussed it with people on FTB's Reddit page who claim to have been there when the mods were coming out and were involved with the modding community directly then. I went above and beyond to assure that the mods fulfilled standards of game influence, popularity, and overall impact on the minecraft community. All that aside here is a list of the mods below. Anyone is free to download and play the pack but make sure to credit me if you decide to record or stream it, and maybe even place links to this website or my youtube channel which shares the same profile picture on here as of 2023 and it has a similar username as well. Also if you feel like the modpack is missing any essential or important mods feel free to DM me or comment on this project thread with the mods in mind and I can always update the modpack later. There were a couple of mods that were in the 1.7.10 pack that I was unable to update. From my knowledge at the moment Witchery and Ars Magica 2 are not available on 1.12.2 and I personally did not like the "Bewitchment" witchery 1.12.2 fork as much as the original so I just opted out of adding it in. Forbidden Magic, Binnie's Mods, Steve's Workshop, IC2 Nuclear Control, and TIC Addons were also unavailable to my knowledge as 1.12.2 versions. All that aside, this will probably be the final "classic mod compilation" pack I release even if this version will possibly be updated. As of 2023 far and few of this modpacks contents have been updated much further beyond 1.12.2 so I find no reason to make another version of the pack until then. A whole new modpack of mine could be an option but it wouldn't aim to achieve the same thing as a "classic mod compilation" pack since those versions are newer I would argue. It would be a new and different concept in it of itself. All that aside thanks for the download. I hope you enjoy playing.
* Optifine and any other FPS-enhancing mods have to be downloaded and dragged in externally.
To do this just go to the website and download them then drag them into the mods folder of the project and VOILA.
