Tech pack designed to feel more immersive and realistic without being cumbersome.
Mods are carefully selected for balance and performance.
Progression feels satisfying while staying true to the sandbox nature of Minecraft.
Custom recipes and progression systems (like ore tripling) that help integrate the mods with interesting mechanics that don't feel grindy.
Now with Quests!!! The quests are designed to guide you without dictating your gameplay or getting in the way of your creativity. Quests will be added that correspond with projects in my Real Tech 3 let's play series.
Mob spawns have been tweaked to add more realistic enemies and animals above ground while banishing the undead and other fantasy mobs to the expanded caves, the Nether and The End.
Survival tweaks add a little more challenge and depth while reducing some constant annoyances.
Custom, biome based, ore generation and prospecting methods along with large, beautiful, more realistic looking caves make resource gathering a fun, explorative, but slightly dangerous experience.
You'll find yourself in a world that feels alive and real.
For a lighter version of this pack designed to perform well on less powerful computers, check out Real Tech Light.

Server Files
I generally don't post server packs, because it's very time consuming to try to account for all the different server environments. But it's relatively easy to set up a server with the regular pack files. The installation details will depend on your environment, and you'll need a basic knowledge of how to install Minecraft servers, but here's a general breakdown:
- Install the correct version of forge (currently 36.2.20)
- Grab all the folders from the "overrides" folder inside the pack zip file and put them inside the folder where you installed forge.
- Copy the mods from the mods folder in an installed instance of the pack and copy them to the server mods folder.
- Remove client only mods that may crash the server. These include: Dynamic Surroundings, Item Physics Lite, Ding, Mouse Tweaks, ReAuth.
- Run the forge jar. How you do this is going to depend on your operating environment. For a Linux/Mac environment, I'd recommend running it within a "screen" session. I don't use Windows for servers, so I have no advice there. The java command is going to look something like this:
java -Xms1024M -Xms4096M -jar forge-1.16.5-36.2.20.jar nogui
Questions, Comments, Ideas, Problems
If you're having fun with this pack, tell me about it below. If you're having problems or have suggestions, please post them in the Issue Tracker.
In reply to Danny_and_Son:
oh ok, many thanks, i will try it
Hello,
I am enjoying the pack so far, but I cannot seem to find the tank and desalination items in the JEI menu items for aqua munda. Were they removed or something?
In reply to t7013tjr:
Unfortunately, they had been removed due to serious bugs that made them unreliable. I aded a recipe to the pack allowing you to make purified water by placing a bucket of water in a furnace.
Danny_and_Son
would it be possible for you to make a version with tetra instead of tinkers idk man
In reply to sirbubbles_iii:
This wouldn't be practical for the current version. I may consider it for the upcoming version in Minecraft 1.16.4.
Why is there a single mod in the pack? Don't tell me I have to go and individually download every one.
In reply to lowspecnerd:
You need a launcher to install curseforge modpacks. You can use the Twitch app (https://authors.curseforge.com/knowledge-base/game-specific-support/2755-installing-a-modpack). MultiMC and GDLauncher also support curseforge packs and are much lighter apps.
Why doesn't the Real Tech Server work?
In reply to wiktoroooooo:
Are you using the Twitch app to install the pack? You might find these instruction helpful: https://authors.curseforge.com/knowledge-base/game-specific-support/2755-installing-a-modpack
Mam problem z wydajnoÅ›ciom twojej packi , co mogÄ™ zrobić bu mi tak nie lagowaÅ‚o proszÄ™ byÅ› daÅ‚ mi wskazówki .
In reply to Forge_User_66082099:
Make sure you're allocating enough RAM. 4GB is suggested. You can also try disabling Better Foliage, Dynamic Surrounding, and Sound Filters. These mods are very FPS intensive and don't affect gameplay that much. If that doesn't help, try Real Tech Light. It's a much lighter version of the pack with a similar feel.
Industrial Renewal is an up and coming mod that would fit the realism you want.
Modpack doesn't work on my current computer and neither does the light version :/ hopefully I will have a better computer soon. I look forward to playing with the pack.
Downloading to give a try! Looks great!
Are the Trees from Biomes O plenty compatible with tree breeding and automation from Forestry?
In reply to StormbringerGT: They are i read on the wiki that it is compatible with biomes o plenty
In reply to tyrollll:
Really? That is Amazing! I couldn't get them to work together myself.
hi Danny and son so i was the watching the real tech series. here is the link And i noticed at the time of the video which was 10:42 there was a pollutant called volcanic ash when you where looking at the Aerometer what mod does that come with i know that doesn't come in the pollution of the realms mod so if you can please tell me that would be great.
Hello Danny ! I've just heard about a mod named Create, it's like Factorio ( The game with production line and all ! ) but in Minecraft. I think this mod will fit very well in this modpack, what do you think ? :)
In reply to Forge_User_32613317:
Yes. I played Create in FTB Unstable 1.14: . It's pretty amazing, and it's gotten even better since I played it back then. It's not available for 1.12.2, so I can't add it to the pack now, but when I move the pack into 1.15+, I will definitely be considering it.
