GAMEMODES:
SINGLEPLAYER:
Your normal origins experience with more origins than usual. The twist is that every time you die, you have a brand new random origin, having 10 lives in total.
Config options for singleplayer:
- Disable reroll on death: remove the afterlife mod
- Grant infinite lives: just use the /afterlife command and set the lives to a very big number.
MULTIPLAYER:
You can play multiplayer in several ways. This modpack has not been tested in multiplayer mode yet, although it should work properly if you remove the clientside mods. If someone is able to check, it would be greatly appreciated. These are the gamemodes I can think about:
- Factions: make teams for your server and use the player tracking compass to search for other teams. Last team standing wins.
- Total anarchy: no teams, noone to trust. Be either the hunter or the prey using the tracking compass. Last one to lose all 10 lives wins.
- Peaceful: Just regular peaceful server. I recommend to either remove the reroll feature by disabling the afterlife mod or just set the lifes to a very big number.
- PVP arena: just use a custom PVP map and fight until only one is has spare lives. You can either play it with teams or on individual mode.
What would I have to do to play a LAN world with this modpack?
In reply to warnern_2005:
It should work on lan. If it doesn't try using the serverpack, that should work.
Hi, I wanted to ask if this is forge or fabric modpack?
In reply to Amadhe:
It is a fabric 1.18.1 modpack, since the main theme is origins and there are more addons for fabric, including the Afterlife mod (which comes deactivated by default).
Don't take this wrong but, why the question? Is it because you want to add mods or something like that? I'd like to know, if you don't mind.
In reply to Naox_95:
I've been thinking about releasing a forge version but I want to finish this one first.
In reply to Naox_95:
Was just curious whether I should place this on my Forge Modpack Play List, or my Fabric Modpack Playlist. And it was kinda hard to tell on Curseforge.
Personally, I don’t care about the difference between Forge or Fabric though, if I want to play a mod enough I’ll use the different loader.
I created a server. I found that I needed to remove dashloader for the server to load and start properly.
However it is not possible to connect to the server. On the server I see:
[Server thread/INFO]: com.mojang.authlib.GameProfile@3a2e2f9[id=xxxx-yyyyzzzf-,name=SomePlayer,properties={textures=[com.mojang.authlib.properties.Property@7b505648]},legacy=false] (/192.168.1.192:63179) lost connection:
Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: Badly compressed packet - size of 1330 is larger than protocol maximum of 8388608
I tried to install "XLpackets" on both client and server. I also tried to reduce render distance on client and server but still see the problem

Mod That Caused A Connection Error:
Biome Locator.
In reply to Naox_95:
Also remove biome locator in client
In reply to Naox_95:
I removed the client mods on the server which you suggested, and now the server starts and one can connect and play.
However the client "complained" that there was a number of mods which were unavailable on the server - I didn't make a note of which. I notice though that some origins are missing e.g. parrot.
I would be curious to investigate further If you have any suggestions, otherwise : it is playable and that is great. :)
BTW: I didn't remove the biome locator in the client..
.
In reply to jedo_tm:
You need to add the datapacks to the server too. They are located in config/paxi/datapacks. There are a bunch of origins there. About the number of mods unavailable in the server, I guess it is biome locator but idk. Also a new version is coming out with a server pack included :)
I love your modpack ^-^ i would love to add it to a server but i seem to be having difficulties, adding all the mods without the client mods doesn't seem to work. any recommendations? im using Bisect hosting for my server and adding the mods manually. also the goolien seems a bit bugged, cant seem to eat anything, im wondering if there is anything i can do so i can play it? anyway this is my favorite Origin modpack atm so thank you and well done ^-^
In reply to alex_yrr:
Currently I do not have a server to test the pack, so I haven't got the chance to test it online. It would be great if you could send a log or something so we can see what doesn't work.
I'll leave you my discord so we can fix the issue. Thanks for your appreciation.
