Welcome to Gilded Days!
This pack returns the 1.12.2 game back to a more classic approach. You'll find that stuff like sprinting has been completely removed, that food no longer stacks, that the world generation has been changed to match that of minecraft beta, and lots more. Oh, and on top of that, Gilded Days is a vanilla+ pack too. There's tons of small but versatile features that I found to fit in with a more classic-style approach. Stuff like Quark, the Aether, Primitive Mobs, etc. The reversion isn't just gameplay related either, many textures and sounds have been reverted back to their classic counterparts.

For best results, I recommend you turn smooth lighting off, and keep fog on.
