## Performance
- **~2–3 GB lower RAM usage** after a pass on memory-heavy mods, configs, and JVM args.
- Now **runs smoothly at 10.5+ GB allocated** with the new recommended Java args.
- Better TPS, frame pacing, and first-exploration stutter across the board.
- Upgrading: discard your old JVM args and grab the new ones from here: -Xms2G -Xmx11G -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:+ParallelRefProcEnabled -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=200 (allocated 10720 mb of ram under profile options)

## Major Refactors
- **Renaissance era — full rebuild.** Pacing, unlocks, recipe weaves, and gating reworked end-to-end. Renaissance → IR bridge cleaned up.
- **Boss Spine reshaped.** Each boss is a real progression gate with proper prerequisites and post-fight unlocks, consistent across quests, stages, and recipe locks.
- **Weave settlement.** Cross-mod recipe weaves audited and consolidated. Duplicate items resolved, drift cleaned up, intended craft paths are now actually the shortest.
- **Progression cleanup.** Misordered unlocks and hidden gates smoothed out.

## ProgressiveStages → AStages (unified)
Pack used to run AStages and ProgressiveStages side-by-side. ProgressiveStages is out; everything routes through AStages now.
- **Revelationary ore system** — ores no longer all visible from world-gen. Specific ores reveal once you've reached the right stage.
- **Stage-locked recipes, blocks, and dimensions** consistent across recipe book, JEI, and world interaction.
- **Cleaner stage transitions** with proper signalling.

Existing worlds: back up first. Stage state will re-sync on first load.

## Modonomicon — 8-Age Book Series
In-game guidebook being built out across the eight ages. Voice/tone locked, smoke pass complete, content landing per-age. Some entries are still placeholder.


## Removed
- **ProgressiveStages** (replaced by unified AStages).
- **Pufferfish's Attributes** and **Stronger Skill Tree** (replaced by Spell Engine + RPG Skill Tree).
- **Dynamic Difficulty, Zombie Awareness** (perf cost).
- **Butchery, Dyson Cube Project, Create: Gears n' Kinetics, Vanilla Experience+, Fancy World Animations, EMI Extra Integrations** (redundancy / scope / perf).

## Known Issues
- Some Modonomicon entries still placeholder.
- First launch on a v0.5.6.2 world runs a one-time stage re-sync — back up.
- Do not update mods that were not manually updated, these will crash your game if they are such as Cristellib and Create.

## Bug Fixes
- Fixed stone pickaxe being uncraftable by force implementating a pack-owned recipe
- Fixed certain quests being recursive
- Fixed diamond armor recipe not outputting anything, essentially rendering it uncraftable.
- Implemented a stricter tag system for astral dimension ores and items so they're unified and won't leak through
- Disabled the bridge for certain EMI connections to fix the error rendering items display when looking at crafting recipes.
- Fixed minecolonist's not working even when chunk was loading; colonists were being culled accidentally
- Removed Too Many Entities due to it overlapping culling with the other entity culling mod, improving performance slightly.
- Updated many mods.

Clean install recommended; existing worlds migrate fine with a backup. Thanks for playing.
