A major update for ALDEEZ 6 includes major optimizations to the pack's gameplay patterns, compatibility, and quality of life. After this update's release, all versions of ALDEEZ 6 1.X will be labeled as Beta versions since our SMP's testing is now complete!

Takeaways from 1.X beta and how these were addressed:

1) Farming, cooking, and overall crop compatibility issues are frustrating and overwhelming.

  • This was due to issues, not between base Farmer's Delight and Croptopia, but with the many many addons that Farmer's Delight has. Many of these addons duplicated or even tripled/quadrupled the same crops, leading to compatibility issues I had to manually address with CraftTweaker.

  • As such, the following have been removed:

  • Brewin' and Chewin'
  • Cultural Delights
  • Farmer's Croptopia (As Croptopia Delight is the recommended addon for compatibility)
  • Expanded Delight
  • Fruit's Delight
  • Vegan Delight
  • The good news is, that Croptopia's features should cover essentially all of these addons without all the dupes and inconsistencies for use. FD is staying so there is still a physical cooking pot!

2) Having a multitude of mods that affect world generation, especially for the Overworld, results in many of them working improperly, or not at all.

  • There were an insane number of mods on top of the various Farmer's Delight addons that affected WorldGen that didn't want to play nice with one another. I chose to remove mods that were lacking in the content they were generating, were slightly broken anyhow, or underdeveloped.

In addition to the removal of the above mods to address incompatible addons, the following mods have been removed:

  • Structory: Towers
  • Villages & Pillages
  • Wheel of Wacky (due to it being the only Fabric mod which was one underlying source of instability)

**3) Gear progression included a few different routes, but some of these options quickly became obsolete and felt like a waste of resources. **

  • Mods such as Advanced Netherite were added to 1.0 with the goal of extending Netherite's utility before moving on to The End, however, the mod was extremely expensive and resulted in redundancy.
  • Rather than maintaining this odd split in gear pathing, the update expands the endgame instead by adding more structure generation to The End Islands, and added Deeper and Darker for the Otherside dimension.

The following mods have been removed:

  • Advanced Netherite

AND, added the following mods:

  • *Fortunate Netherite * (Fortune applies to Ancient Debris)
  • No Template Netherite (No hunting for 8 hours for upgrades at Bastions)
  • Nether Villager (Adds a new passive Nether Villager vendor who sells a new set of gear with interesting properties)
  • Ender's Delight
  • Medieval Buildings End Edition
  • Deeper and Darker

4) Leftover mods that don't work and duplicate smaller features unrelated to farming/cooking were all but clutter in the modpack, even though they don't cause critical errors/crashes...among other backend fixes.

  • Several mods in the pack I have found to be broken after diving into the compatibility issues around 1.3.x of the pack.

The following mods have been removed:

  • Recipe Generator
  • Polymorph
  • SimpleDiscordLink
  • Block Runner
  • Easy Magic
  • Storage Drawers

The following mods were swapped out with a new alternative:

  • Sit swapped for Personality

The following mods were previously missing and are now added:

  • EMF & ETF (Entity Model Features,Entity Texture Features ; these mods replace OptiFine in modded environments)
  • Loot Integrations (should help with creating more variety in Lootr loot tables, especially in structures)

5) Quality of life fixes that couldn't be made easily can now be made!

  • I took the opportunity to add some lightweight QoL mods considering the culling of many others to improve gameplay, settings, and visuals.

The following mods have been added:

  • Clean Swing Through Grass
  • Default Settings (Your local settings will be saved even after I update the modpack)
  • Pretty Rain (no longer an intrusive downpour)
  • Enchantment Cap Level Indicator (adds an aesthetic star next to your maximum enchantments)
  • Nature's Compass (biomes) and Explorer's Compass (structures) (you're welcome Ainsley)

6) But where did the whimsy go? Don't worry, I added other fun cosmetic and gameplay mods to replace some of our fallen heroes (RIP, Wheel of Wacky)

The following mods have been added:

  • Armourer's Workshop (will have unlimited availability at the new spawn area) -Golem Overhaul (in the same vein as the Creeper and Enderman Overhaul mods, this mod adds multiple helpful golems to the game)
  • Doggie Talents Next (yes, you can now become a dog trainer)
  • Doggie Talents Next's Palette Of Paws (adds additional biome and dimensional variants of wolves)
  • Reliquary Reincarnations (yet another trinket mod!)
