3d Skin Layers
Replaces the usually flat second layer of player skins with a 3d modeled version. Will automatically switch to the vanilla 2d rendering when players are further away than 12 blocks in order to increase the framerate. Also supports transparent parts on things like glasses!
Since this mod is purely visual and fully clientside, so it doesn't have to be installed on servers and works everywhere!

Can this be done with armor/mobs too?

How do I get a skin for this?
The skins are normal Minecraft Skins. Go onto namemc or other sites, download a skin and upload it in the Minecraft Launcher.
Help the layers are gone!
Check under Options > Skin Customization that you didn't accidentally disable your skin layers.

Open the First Person mod settings (in esc the button on the left/via the mod menu) and there is a tab to activate and configure 3d skin layers. With 1.17 I just took that part out and made it its own mod(this one).

First, the mod looks incredibly good, Second, your skins look incredible (great usage of the migration cape's textures !)
I got problem that when enable item on head it will make hats layer disapper.

It happens with placeable block when put on the head, fixed in the next version.

Yea from what I gathered on the discord, it seems as the download counters are broken rn. Which is douple bad because I launched 2 mods that now are stuck at 0 downloads^^
