Special Thanks to OnyxKnight for contributing the config to reposition HUD elements relative to their original position. Check out his projects!
This mod will change your HUD (Heads Up Display) and add a few new features to it!
It has come a long way. The idea started to take shape in the early part of 2013.
Since then a lot has happened. The mod almost died two whole times.
It got renamed to Interface+ and now renamed back to RPG-HUD (stick to your roots!).
But it's only thanks to YOU this mod is still there.
Without your tremendous support (and almost weekly - later monthly) e-mails to port it over to the new Minecraft version, it would most likely be dead by now.
But instead of just porting it over to 1.10.2 and 1.11 I decided to completely remake it.
This took quite a while but now it is done. And this mod is better than ever before.
ENJOY!

- Default HUD (simple, effective)
- Extended HUD (also simple, also effective)
- Full Texture HUD (if you want to re-texture the entire thing)
- Hotbar HUD (The Widget around the Hotbar - awesome!)

If you want to see something else in this mod, tell me and I might add it!
Now onto another great feature: Settings!
Almost everything is customizable (and there will be even more customization possibilities in the future) via the ingame settings menu.
You can find the settings menu via the Forge ingame menu (1.8.9 - 1.12) or at the top right of your menu screen (1.13+).

You have my sincere gratitude,

Would love for this mod to work with survive mod to make the thirst and stamina bars moveable.
I think it conflicts with Survive (mod). The thirst bar in Survive causes the vanilla armour bar to show on top of the thirst bar (bottom right of hud) and RPG-HUD can't seem to remove the armour overlay (despite RPG-HUD rendering it's own armour bar elsewhere)EDIT: its not survive but I can't find what is forcing the vanilla armour bar to render..
In reply to fuchsiashock:
Which other mods do you use? And RPG hud isnt changing the location, it's canceling the event which renders the original one and then draws a new one.
In reply to fuchsiashock:
rpg-hud does have an option to prevent the vanilla armor from rendering.
Does anybody know how to make the entity gui for this and waila/hwyla/jade not cover it up
In reply to techniumunlimited:
go to the mod config (top right of the main menu or ingame meu) and then to entity inspect. there you can move it down (you'll have to do this by numbers though)
In reply to KurodaAkira:
Oh no, your mod is great at configuring, I just like your mod's entity box being where Waila puts it (I want waila's gone) because yours is far better xD
In reply to techniumunlimited:
ah. waila has an option to disable their "entity inspect". don't remember exactly where you toggle that but there is an option.
I have a problem with the mod, everytime i relaunch the game it resets the settings for the HUD, game version 1.16.4 forge version is: 35.1.36, its really irritating would appreciate if this would be given a quick fix :D
In reply to snuggle_manager:
This has taken longer to fix than I care to admit. But it is fixed with the newest version. The issue was a wrongly named config file in 1.13+ which made the mod not load properly if the old config structure of 1.12 or earlier versions of the mod were used before. You can either fix this by deleting the RPG-HUD folder in .minecraft/config or by using the 3.8.4 version of the mod.
Big thanks to FlameSupernova here as it was his help which allowed me to figure out the issue.
Everytime I restart the game my settings are reset would appreaceate if it would be fixed version is 1.16.4
In reply to dingsmann:
I tried to replicate this but was unable to. Can you give me more details? Forge version, other mods installed, which settings you changed which reset?
In reply to KurodaAkira:
Thaks for responding so fast my other mods are:
BetterPvP ver 21.0.0
optifine G5
the forge version im using is 35.1.4
all in 1.16.4
In reply to dingsmann:
I added those mods and I am still unable to replicate it. Maybe you can do one other thing: In the launcher, you can enable the log (click on the settings, then enable "Open output log when Minecraft: Java Edition starts". Then launch the game and open the RPG-Hud settings, change a setting and then close the settings. Do not close the game yet. The moment you come back to the Main Menu Screen, please copy the last 25 or so lines of the log and please show them to me.
In reply to dingsmann:
I also appear to be having the same issue using the newest version. i downgraded to the only other 1.16.4 version of the mod and its still resetting every time i relaunch the game (But ive re-updated back to the most recent version of this mod)
Im on Forge version 35.0.1 (Due to Optifine Reasons)
Following the steps you mentioned above to the other person having an issue, I went in and changed a location setting of the armor on the screen, this is what displays in the Output log:
00:34:22.723
00:34:22.724
00:34:22.724
00:34:22.724
00:34:22.724
00:34:22.724
00:34:22.724
00:34:22.724
00:34:22.724
In reply to FlameSupernova:
glad to know that im not the only one. that probably rules out a hardware issue and did you do sth extra when posting? when i try adding th log to the comment it gets mared as spam and isn`t shown appearantly
In reply to FlameSupernova:
Thank you that actually helped narrow it down. I'll try to figure out what went wrong there. It seems it doesn't want to write the new settings to the config file.
EDIT: Can you provide me with the entire log of that session (just start the game, go into settings and change one rpg-hud settings, save and quit)
Also: which java version are you using (as I am still unable to recreate it on any of my devices)
In reply to KurodaAkira:
my Java says version 8 Update 261 build 1.8.0
In reply to KurodaAkira:
Actually, i might've found a partial issue
Loading up the game and not changing anything displays this in the MC Log:
[20:13:26] [Worker-Main-9/INFO] [STDERR/]: [net.spellcraftgaming.rpghud.settings.Settings:load:430]: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\config\RPG-HUD (Access is denied)
It's the first line that is displayed that is related to the RPG Hud mod.
Also, Im currently using MC 1.16.4 (with the newest/updated version of RPG Hud)
If you wish to be able to contact me more consistently, my discord is FlameSupernova#5532 and i'd be more than happy to chat about these apparent issues that some users are experiencing
