This mod is intended to be used with "Cracker's Wither Storm" mod. It simply allows you to craft from various components and place down command blocks in survival. You can mine them once they are placed down but they don't drop anything (I can't add a loot table. I tried), and but you cannot use them once they are placed down unless you are in creative.
Each of the components can be found in the following structures:
Command Chunks can be found in Desert/Jungle Pyramids! (10% chance)
Command Panels can be found in Bastion Remnants! (7% chance)
Command Cores can be found in End Cities! (5% chance)
I'm done with Forge modding altogether, all mods that have a Fabric version will continue to be supported. I cannot guarantee the future of this mod.
Hey there! I'm planning on updating my modpack, Explorer's Eve, to 1.19, and I see that you're not interested in updating this mod. That's totally understandable. I wanted to ask, though: Could I use some of the textures from this mod and add my own Command Block recipe via datapack+resourcepack, or would you rather I make my own textures for that?
In reply to sm644me:
I appreciate that you are interested in this mod still. I'm going to have to politely decline the use of textures from this mod to make a data+resourcepack. It's just because I didn't make the textures for this mod. Sorry sm644me. I honestly wish I could continue to support Forge because I would. I wish you luck on the datapack and resourcepack though!
In reply to Final_Production:
Okay, that makes sense! Thank you for responding so quickly. I'll try just pulling from the vanilla Command Block texture, so it'll probably end up looking similar, but I won't just pop this mod open or anything.
Thanks for making this mod, and I hope your Fabric modding goes well!
Maybe its a good idea to make this mod compatible with older versions of minecraft?
In reply to Azruliax:
I might. I am not a Forge Modder anymore. I mainly work on Fabric/Quilt.
In reply to Final_Production:
Ah right, I see, maybe you could find somebody that knows a little more about forge, who could help you mayhaps?
In reply to Azruliax:
Yeah I'm trying to find someone that can help me with Forge, it's been difficult.
Can you please make it for 1.16.5? It would really help, but that's your choice.
In reply to rihard999:
It's a strong maybe. Fabric and Quilt are easier to deal with than Forge.
can you update the mod to 1.19?
can you make it for 1.16.5?
i'm interested in the part where you made command blocks placeable in survival, how did you make it?
Update for 1.19? Want to use this for my Survival world to respawn the WS every so often once it's defeated.
Could you add a config to modify the loot chances.
In reply to 1goat394:
In the latest version you can do this via datapack. I'll put documentation on it later.
Can you make them only mineable with a command block tool?
In reply to Nov1st2k10:
It would ruin the point of having the command block be breakable. So unfortunately, I am not going to do that.
can you make it so you can mine the command blocks so if this is in a server somebody cant lock you out of your chests
In reply to epicgamingA:
Let me rephrase what I said, you can break the command blocks but they don't drop anything. They have the same Hardness as Iron. You should be able to break them.
In reply to Final_Production:
ooohhhhhh i was looking at the you can not mine them part when writing it down
In reply to epicgamingA:
Sorry about the confusion, I'll update the description.
