I'd definitely like to start adding new features to the mod, though I'm not sure if I'll have time to add anything this year since it's taking a lot of effort to get it ported to Minecraft 1.14. I'll look into the idea of integrating with other mods, but generally things should work correctly by default.
i love this mod <3
Will this ever be updated again? )):

Yup! I'm planning to work on bringing the mod to the latest versions of Minecraft, and to attempt to fix any existing bugs. Also thinking about what features I might have time to add this year!

I'm glad you will continue to update mod ^^ I love this mod and I like to use it this time of year, and would love to play it on a newer version of minecraft :)

One feature I'd suggest (that likely wouldn't be particularly difficult to implement) would be a Gingerbread Block made from the Gingerbread Squares (much like how the Peppermint Log is made from the Peppermint Candies.)
Which reminds me, I noticed that it takes 4 Gingerbread Squares (plus 2 red sugar) to make 4 Gingerbread Men, so 1:1 not counting the sugar. The Gingerbread Squares give 2 food icons and 2 saturation icons each. The Gingerbread Men give 1 food icon and half a saturation icon each. So you're spending 1/2 of a red sugar per cookie to reduce the food value in half and the saturation value to a quarter. Which somehow seems unintended to me?
Oh, and feel free to use those animated versions of the christmas light textures in that resource pack that I made that I showed you, seems pretty popular with the people that I've shown it to. (Pretty much everyone on the server that I play on is using the pack now...)
Update please. a few bugs.
Now the only thing left to add is a Santa visit. I found a check called PlayerWakeUpEvent (potentially could check for certain inventory items, like a cookie and milk/hot chocolate), that you could use. Basically, override the event, and have it play a custom Hohoho sound and fill any nearby stockings with random presents (simply add nbt data to the presents that determines contents (could have it pull from the pyramid loot table, or a custom one that has certain weights for nice and naughty)).
I love your mod. I would've never expected a holiday-themed mod to be so well thought out and polished, but here I am playing it and it's fantastic! I love the addition of new foods and crops and decorations. It's so charming and festive!
and yes.... I am using a Christmas mod in August... The title screen is really funny to see.
There's a feature I have long wanted to see in a Christmas mod, but I know it'll most likely be very hard to pull off. Having Santa's Sleigh that you can actually get in and fly yourself. That would be awesome

I know, right? I've been looking for something like that for years, and nothing. Why has no one done this?
I tried playing the music disc from this mod, but it froze my game. It didn't crash, but this was spammed in the logs:
[23:14:56] [Thread-22/ERROR]: Error in class 'SourceLWJGL OpenAL'
[23:14:56] [Thread-22/ERROR]: Channel null in method 'stop'
I'm using Forge v14.23.5.2796-1.12.2 and Josh's X-Mas Mod v1.2.0.
How do you get it on minecraft? Im so confused
In reply to IAmJoshuaStone:
Is this mod dead or will you make it for the versions 1.13, 1.14 and - when Forge gets made for 1.15 - 1.15?
I open da file and it doesn't open, probably just me not knowing what to do ;-;
Perhaps a Santa visit triggered by system date and sleeping? I'd take a look at Christmascraft and Wintercraft for how they do this. Until then I'm gonna talk to the Wintercraft dev about filling the stockings as the player sleeps.
Aw, this is such an adorable little mod! Lovely work on it)
