IF YOU WANT TO USE Biomes O' Plenty content, don't forget to install the datapack in your worlds datapack folder!! You can find the newest datapack under additonal files for every release!
If you're using 1.16.5 onward you need to install a separate mod instead:

ALSO updating to 1.16.5 will delete all the contents of chests/barrels of this mod and you have to replace your lecterns! Be sure to make a back-up and move all your items into other containers before update/ maybe I'll try to provide a data fixer later.
None of the custom blocks work as a villager job site yet.

Overview
Those woods from "Biome's O Plenty", are they applicable to "Oh the Biomes you'll Go"?

I asked on their side and they said your side would have to implement support. (whenever you get the time to do so)
Also, when the 1.16 port is done (take all the time you need) will the nether "trees" have default support?

you just put bop and my mod into your mods folder, create a new world and then put the datapack for bop under saves/your world/datapacks ( dont unzip it, just put it in there ! ) it gives you the recipes and loot tables for the bop related blocks of my mod

client, common config are not used, but in your world save you can find the server-config that is used to config alot of stuff
