I have 32 GB RAM but minecraft crashes with 32K screenshot. 16K it will crash to, but Rainmeter and discord crashed to and discord keeps crashing when trying to start. I dont recommend that high res :D
There is an method which the Forge version of the mod used which screenshotted quarters of the screen and put the images together. I've been meaning to add that here :)
It would be nice if we could change the filename format, or have the option to change it back to the vanilla screenshot filename format (like Optifine does)

this mod requires lot of ram and vram (almost equal quantities), and at around 4 bytes per pixel, a 32k images would require both 2gb of ram and vram
16k should have been fine though, ive done it on my integrated graphics gpu, although it took almost a minute
Whats the recommended allocated ram when taking 32k shots?
Can I use this in a modpack?
I got a 32k screenchot, took about 50seconds to take!
In reply to EVH4N:
btw, is it possible to implement an option where less ram is used, but over a longer period of time? It's going all the way to 12GB xd

Will this be updated to 1.17?
In reply to poop_person543:
Will do it now, thanks for reminding me :)
In reply to ramidzkh:
Done, you should be able to download the updated version now
Are there any mods similar/ports to this but for forge 1.16.x?
Completely resizes my game after taking a screenshot.
Not good.
very interesting
Does this mod affect client performance for low end machines?

Nope
