I am not siding the OP. but he is asking permission to port the mods to Minecraft China version.. He will have to credit the original author for the work by at the end of the day.
It's not stealing, it's transplanting. In netease minecraft, there are great on mods. Players can't download mods themselves to play, they can only play what others provide. "free" means that I provide the past directly, and don't make a profit in it.

I'm trying to modify the config document to disable Cursed Earth because apparently it causes server problems but I can't modify it. How do I get around this restriction?

Tf do you mean "do it for free"? You're gaining all the credit for someone else's mod by publishing it as another user.
