Continuity
Continuity is a Fabric mod built around modern APIs to allow for the most efficient connected textures experience possible. It is designed to provide full Optifine parity for all resource packs that use the Optifine/MCPatcher CTM format.
Continuity depends on the Fabric API and is client-side only. With the mod come two built-in resource packs - one provides default connected textures, similar to Optifine, and the other provides a fix for glass pane culling.
Continuity will not work without the Indium mod if Sodium is installed.
CTM
Nowadays, there are two main CTM (Connected Texture Mapping) formats:
- Optifine/MCPatcher format
- Chisel/ConnectedTexturesMod format
Continuity only supports the Optifine/MCPatcher format. If support for the Chisel format is required, consider using the ConnectedTexturesMod for Fabric instead. Note that using Continuity and CTMF at the same time is an unsupported configuration, at least for the time being.
Forge Version
I do not see myself working on a Forge version of Continuity for two main reasons:
- Optifine. Optifine has native support for Forge, so a Forge version of Continuity would not be very useful in the first place.
- Forge's model API. It is vastly different from Fabric's model API (FRAPI), which is utilized by the Fabric version, and switching to it would not only require an incredible amount of effort, but also result in the mod being extremely inefficient.

Ah, okay, makes sense. Connected textures in optifine is not compatible with the StayTrue texture pack, so I was hoping this might help. I guess not. Thanks for the reply anyway. 👍
Stained Glass Texture are glitched around chunk borders.
Any way this will support Patrix resource pack? Not sure what format it is, but it worked previously for everything, but now the new entities and even trees do not work.
In reply to DULL4H4N:
Im using Patrix with this mod, it works perfectly fine for me
Mod doesnt work, am suing.
UPDATE: YOU NEED INDIUM IF USING SODIUM
In reply to mrmint1000:
I TOLD YOU THIS AGES AGO I ASSUME YOU ALREADY HAD IT INSTALLED AGES AGO I SAID YOU NEED INDUIM IF YOU WANT IT TO WORK
In reply to Specimen_69:
even back then it dindt work
I'm working on a custom resource pack that uses CTM for a bunch of different features, one of which is random animated textures for a block (using ctm_random and the standard animation format that vanilla minecraft uses). This works as intended with optifine, however it doesn't seem like this mod can display the animations properly (the block texture just stays as the first frame of the animation). Is there any chance you could add support for this? It would be much appreciated!

If you are using Sodium+Indium, this is an Indium bug that I cannot do anything about. https://github.com/comp500/Indium/issues/83
Hello, I am having this issue with the glass, where I get these lines. I checked for incompatible mods, none. I tried disabling shaders, disabling the culling fix, reenabling it but nothing worked. https://imgur.com/a/zuPPEob
In reply to balazs0718hun:
Are you using shaders from optifine? If you use optifine you don't need this mod.
In reply to StormDragon_64:
Nope, I'm using sodium and iris.
Any plans on making this work with the programmer art resource pack?
In reply to Casey_Is_Cool47:
You'll need a resource pack for that. This one seems good: https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/programmer-art-connected-textures/
I have an issue where water behind glass looking from east wor west does not render, whereas looking from north or south water does show up.
I do have both built-in resource packs selected too
Which blocks can be connected? I cannot get this mod to replicate what is seen in the mods "Profile Picture". I can get the glass, sandstone, bookshelve, etc to work. But not the Bricks, Grasses, Gravels, Polished Stones, Metal Blocks, etc to work.
Hi, thanks for the pack, any idea if connected glass panes will merge vertically in single block stacking at some point? Also, has any exploration of supporting OptiFine Custom Item Textures been done?
Thx
Just to make things clear, if a resourcepack dares not to make use of some of the original's connected textures then this happens, right?

Because this only happens when I have my custom resourcepack (which touches the wood and the stone) on top of the resourcepacks of the mod
In reply to GitSugar:
You need indium to make it work with sodium
