Consistency+ is a Minecraft mod that takes the concept of adding in "missing" building block variants to a whole new level.
Consistency+ supports both Fabric and Forge, for versions 1.16 and newer (newer versions of Consistency+ may not always support updates past the most current major update!)
Consistency+ adds thousands of new building blocks for common materials used in builds.
For example, in vanilla, Quartz has a smooth, chiseled, bricks, and pillar variations. With Consistency+, Quartz is given variants for polished, cut, carved, and more, alongside slabs, stairs, and walls for most!
For a full list of blocks, check out our wiki, or more specifically this page!
We try to keep all of our information updated, however some of it may still need to be corrected.
In order to be able to craft the entire range of blocks added by Consistency+, a few vanilla recipes have to be changed. Most recipes follow the standard 2x2 shape, however a few are more complicated, such as chiseled.
By following the 2x2 shape progression, the base block of a set will go through this order of blocks:
Base -> Polished -> Bricks -> Cut -> Tiles
Pillars, Corner Pillars, and Chiseled are crafted differently, however Chiseled can be crafted in a 2x2 pattern into Carved.

We try to keep this page up to date with any important information regarding Consistency+.
We also have a Modrinth page, which can be found here!
Having issues with Consistency+? Be sure to check out the issue tracker and/or the list of previous known issues and their solutions.
If you run across a bug or other issue while playing, be sure to tell us so we can try and fix it!
Have a suggestion for us on something we should add in the future? We'd love to hear it, and there's a few ways you can tell us!
The first is again using our issue tracker. We have an issue template just for suggesting features, whether that be new block sets, mod compatibility, or something entirely new!
Be sure to check our planning boards to make sure you aren't suggesting something we already have planned.
Want to come talk with us about Consistency+? Check out our discord! We try to get a lot of community feedback for upcoming features, and our discord is a welcome place for everyone to come and hang out!
Consistency+ requires a few things to work correctly. All of these should be listed as required dependencies within Curseforge, but if not you can find easily accessible links to them here!
The first of which is Architectury. Architectury allows Consistency+ to be compatible with both modloaders using most of the same code and assets.
The next thing Consistency+ may need is Fabric API, if you're using the Fabric Version. If you're using Forge, skip this part!
Finally, if you're playing on Forge, you'll need Stonecutter Recipe Tags. SCRT allows for all of the vanilla and Consistency+ blocks to work together in stonecutters. SCRT is already part of Consistency+ on Fabric, so you only need to worry about this step on Forge.

We may look into support for other mods to add new blocks once we make Consistency+ modular, which will likely happen before/when we release 1.0
I feel like stone tools of every type would contribute to 'consistency', just cosmetic difference for granite, andesite, diorite, end stone and blackstone, not sure about deepslate.
In reply to ConnorAndAlexandra:
Me may make an addon for the mod once all the blocks are finished for things like this, as its an idea we've tossed around while discussing development of the mod.
In reply to Cart3r1234:
Sweet, good enough for me aha.
Cobble everything.
In reply to wozat:
We plan on making an addon for that once we modularize the base mod.
so what does this mod do? exactly?
In reply to ObraTwitch:
Basically, this mod adds a bunch of new blocks while still trying to retain the vanilla style. Most of the blocks added are things that could be considered inconsistencies. For example, out of the 5 'stone' type blocks, Stone, Blackstone, Diorite, Andesite, and Granite, Stone is the only one without a 'polished' version. Continuing with these blocks, the -ite blocks don't have brick variants. Things like these are blocks we have added/are planning on adding. By the time it is complete, it will have many more blocks than the current pre-release does, but the current pre-release still has roughly 340 new blocks in it, counting things like slabs, stairs, and walls.
In reply to Cart3r1234:
oh okay. wow, really handy when it comes to building! nice mod, imma use it now.
In reply to ObraTwitch:
Yep, one of the goals of Consistency+ is to add a lot of new vanilla-like blocks for building with, along with some extra stuff thrown in.
Great mod! :P
The textures are very lore-friendly.
In reply to douglasb_:
Personally the textures are my favorite part about making the mod. A lot of them are inspired by the spinoff games such as MC Dungeons and MC Story mode, and adapting certain block types to the patterns of other textures is quite fun. We will be releasing 0.2 soon with lots of new blocks and textures, so make sure to stay tuned for that :)
Are there stone brick walls?
In reply to Slimation
You dont have to worry, stone brick walls are vanilla!
You might be playing on 1.12.2, in which case this mod isnt available for that version, its specifically a 1.16.4+ Fabric mod.
In reply to Siuolthepic:
Oh wait I'm a bit stupid I meant Stone brick gates lol
In reply to Slimation:
We likely won't be adding fences/fence gates to stone-type blocks, but a gate-like block as a counterpart to walls isn't a bad idea.
In reply to cart3r__nn1_h9h_3lf:
a wood-stone combination for a "wall-gate" could be interesting, and would make more sense physically.
In reply to milkev:
What we will likely end up doing is renaming the vanilla fence gates to "gates" and adding gates for all of the Consistency+ blocktypes, so that Fence Gates and Wall Gates both fall under 1 blocktype, just known as Gates. This will also solve the problem of Nether Brick having 2 gates, as if we separated them into two different things, nether brick would have both a wall gate and a fence gate.
