Consistency+ is a Minecraft mod that takes the concept of adding in "missing" building block variants to a whole new level.
Consistency+ supports both Fabric and Forge, for versions 1.16 and newer (newer versions of Consistency+ may not always support updates past the most current major update!)
Consistency+ adds thousands of new building blocks for common materials used in builds.
For example, in vanilla, Quartz has a smooth, chiseled, bricks, and pillar variations. With Consistency+, Quartz is given variants for polished, cut, carved, and more, alongside slabs, stairs, and walls for most!
For a full list of blocks, check out our wiki, or more specifically this page!
We try to keep all of our information updated, however some of it may still need to be corrected.
In order to be able to craft the entire range of blocks added by Consistency+, a few vanilla recipes have to be changed. Most recipes follow the standard 2x2 shape, however a few are more complicated, such as chiseled.
By following the 2x2 shape progression, the base block of a set will go through this order of blocks:
Base -> Polished -> Bricks -> Cut -> Tiles
Pillars, Corner Pillars, and Chiseled are crafted differently, however Chiseled can be crafted in a 2x2 pattern into Carved.

We try to keep this page up to date with any important information regarding Consistency+.
We also have a Modrinth page, which can be found here!
Having issues with Consistency+? Be sure to check out the issue tracker and/or the list of previous known issues and their solutions.
If you run across a bug or other issue while playing, be sure to tell us so we can try and fix it!
Have a suggestion for us on something we should add in the future? We'd love to hear it, and there's a few ways you can tell us!
The first is again using our issue tracker. We have an issue template just for suggesting features, whether that be new block sets, mod compatibility, or something entirely new!
Be sure to check our planning boards to make sure you aren't suggesting something we already have planned.
Want to come talk with us about Consistency+? Check out our discord! We try to get a lot of community feedback for upcoming features, and our discord is a welcome place for everyone to come and hang out!
Consistency+ requires a few things to work correctly. All of these should be listed as required dependencies within Curseforge, but if not you can find easily accessible links to them here!
The first of which is Architectury. Architectury allows Consistency+ to be compatible with both modloaders using most of the same code and assets.
The next thing Consistency+ may need is Fabric API, if you're using the Fabric Version. If you're using Forge, skip this part!
Finally, if you're playing on Forge, you'll need Stonecutter Recipe Tags. SCRT allows for all of the vanilla and Consistency+ blocks to work together in stonecutters. SCRT is already part of Consistency+ on Fabric, so you only need to worry about this step on Forge.
A pretty poggers mod, cobble textures are nice :)
Is also compatible with Full Slabs, which does the same thing as Refabricated but allowed for vertical variants as well
In reply to micalobia:
Really? Thats great to hear!
Oh ok then, mystery solved xP thanks mutch :D
In reply to Manuelando:
No problem!
It is normal to loot Cobbled Sandstone from Sandstone?
I have the client in Italian and Arenaria (Sandstone) block actually drops me Cobbled Sandstone instead of Arenaria (Sandstone), thats untranslated in ITA = WELL = i guess is supposed to drop this ddamn of Cobbled Sandstone.
Thats a problem since i found out that can't create Better bocks from this "Cobbled" version of Sandstone.
Just to be sure.... Must it dropp any Sandstone the Sandstone block or i missing something?
EDIT: Why is so bugged the "BOLD" option for the comments? I didn't bold all of that!! -.-
In reply to Manuelando:
Yeah, so Cobbled Sandstone is supposed to be dropped. Think of it like stone and cobblestone when using this mod.
In reply to Manuelando:
Also, if you smelt cobbled Sandstone, you can get regular sandstone.
This is incredible..
Even better it works with Extended Shapes mod.
I have noticed some inconsistencies which i'll add to issues.
Thanks!
In your "Side Blocks Planning" it says "Decorative Iron and Gold blocks that undergo a weathering process like Copper", but the thing is... Gold doesn't do that. It doesn't oxidize or react otherwise with air or humidity. It would make no sense. :D Or were you thinking of something else?
In reply to Timolino567:
While it doesn't really make as much sense for Minecraft gold blocks because they are assumed to be pure (seeing as there's no slag or other metals involved), gold stuff irl can tarnish because generally it is made as an alloy with metals that do undergo a reaction process.
You do bring up a good point though, and our planning for metal blocks is still kinda in the air so we might think of an alternative for gold, but we'll probably just call the blocks we add "tarnished gold," alongside "rusted iron" and vanilla's "oxidized copper."
One thing we plan on doing is making it so that the vanilla iron and gold blocks will not react (and adding a non-oxidizing copper block so that all 3 sets have one), as it would ruin a lot of builds if the existing blocks were affected, so we will likely implement custom recipes to craft the decorative variants, meaning we could make the gold blocks an iron-gold alloy (apparently alloys using iron and gold do exist) if we wanted to make it realistic lol
For things like stairs and slabs, will the textures adapt with texture packs? (Obviously wouldn't expect texture pack compatibility with entirely new blocks)
In reply to 0woflightrising:
Yeah, any block that uses a specific texture will use the new texture when it is changed. For example, if you changed the polished stone block, the polished stone slab, stairs, wall, and gate would all change as well.
In reply to Cart3r1234:
thank you so much! can't wait to use this mod in that case :-)
can you somehow remove all recipes?
In reply to giangamestvv6:
Because the amount of recipes added in 0.4 causes some issues with loading time and tps drops, we're working on a solution for 0.4.1 that should reduce the recipe count by up to 7 thousand files. We weren't aware of the issues before launching 0.4, but we've made it a top priority to fix them before adding anything else content-wise.
If you're looking for 0.4 without the recipes, the release candidate is basically that. There's a few features present in 0.4 missing from the release candidate, but the recipes are the main difference.
In reply to Cart3r1234:
ah thx it worked in the new update
The latest version of this mod causes insane lag on systems with four cores or less. Previous versions did not cause this lag.
In reply to xWindowsLogicx:
We are aware; this issue is caused by the large amount of recipes added in the full release of 0.4.0.
We are trying to fix the problem, although we are unsure if or when we can release a fix for it.
In reply to Cart3r1234:
Okay, I will be waiting for a fix. Thank you for the quick response. :)
