Consistency+ is a Minecraft mod that takes the concept of adding in "missing" building block variants to a whole new level.
Consistency+ supports both Fabric and Forge, for versions 1.16 and newer (newer versions of Consistency+ may not always support updates past the most current major update!)
Consistency+ adds thousands of new building blocks for common materials used in builds.
For example, in vanilla, Quartz has a smooth, chiseled, bricks, and pillar variations. With Consistency+, Quartz is given variants for polished, cut, carved, and more, alongside slabs, stairs, and walls for most!
For a full list of blocks, check out our wiki, or more specifically this page!
We try to keep all of our information updated, however some of it may still need to be corrected.
In order to be able to craft the entire range of blocks added by Consistency+, a few vanilla recipes have to be changed. Most recipes follow the standard 2x2 shape, however a few are more complicated, such as chiseled.
By following the 2x2 shape progression, the base block of a set will go through this order of blocks:
Base -> Polished -> Bricks -> Cut -> Tiles
Pillars, Corner Pillars, and Chiseled are crafted differently, however Chiseled can be crafted in a 2x2 pattern into Carved.

We try to keep this page up to date with any important information regarding Consistency+.
We also have a Modrinth page, which can be found here!
Having issues with Consistency+? Be sure to check out the issue tracker and/or the list of previous known issues and their solutions.
If you run across a bug or other issue while playing, be sure to tell us so we can try and fix it!
Have a suggestion for us on something we should add in the future? We'd love to hear it, and there's a few ways you can tell us!
The first is again using our issue tracker. We have an issue template just for suggesting features, whether that be new block sets, mod compatibility, or something entirely new!
Be sure to check our planning boards to make sure you aren't suggesting something we already have planned.
Want to come talk with us about Consistency+? Check out our discord! We try to get a lot of community feedback for upcoming features, and our discord is a welcome place for everyone to come and hang out!
Consistency+ requires a few things to work correctly. All of these should be listed as required dependencies within Curseforge, but if not you can find easily accessible links to them here!
The first of which is Architectury. Architectury allows Consistency+ to be compatible with both modloaders using most of the same code and assets.
The next thing Consistency+ may need is Fabric API, if you're using the Fabric Version. If you're using Forge, skip this part!
Finally, if you're playing on Forge, you'll need Stonecutter Recipe Tags. SCRT allows for all of the vanilla and Consistency+ blocks to work together in stonecutters. SCRT is already part of Consistency+ on Fabric, so you only need to worry about this step on Forge.
In reply to itsSoCali:
Yes, that is why, Realms does not support mods.
In reply to Siuolplex:
not entirely true, since a few mods i use are supported on realms! :') thinking it might just be certain ones now, hmm.
In reply to itsSoCali:
Those are most likely client side mods, which do not add certain content (Blocks, Items, ETC all are not able to be added by purely clientside mods due to the fact they are also needed on the server.)
I know you guys are working on a config for individual block disabling/enabling but do you have any plans to sooner release a config option to disable cobbling blocks like terracotta, and instead let us use the stonecutter to cobble the blocks?
In reply to ImKatsun:
In 0.4.3, we plan to add the ability to throw the cobble blocks in the stonecutter and have them cut into everything else, but we don't have plans to directly disable them yet.
If needed, you can make a data pack
In reply to Siuolplex:
When CraftTweaker gets updated Ill handle it then if I need to but I just dont want players to be required to spend coal or have silk touch in order to get their Terracotta. Thanks for the reply!
In reply to Siuolplex:
Absolutely go with this. Great for backpack mods with a stonecutter module.
Thank you
In reply to nava_terra:
Its just what we do!
Is there something I can do to make this compatible with Blockus? Some blocks are added in this mod, but not in Blockus, and vise-versa. I don't want the duplicate blocks, but I really like what both mods add.
In reply to spook_lad:
One of the things we're working on behind the scenes (but is still pretty far away from being complete) is a config that will let you enable/disable Consistency+ blocks/block sets. The goal is that when the config is complete, you'll be able to simply disable the blocks that would be duplicated by having other mods, so that way it doesn't cause conflicts. Again, it will probably be a while before its far enough along to be part of an update, but we do have plans to deal with situations like that.
For now the best solution is probably a datapack that overrides problematic recipes and adds the Blockus blocks to C+'s Stonecutter Recipe Tags.
In reply to Cart3r1234:
Alright, thanks for your response!
Another thing to add, can you make the block renaming configurable too?
In reply to spook_lad:
It probably will be configurable when we release our config update.
For now though that's a while out.
I'm getting some kind of conflict with HWYLA, it's showing Error loading mods. I've pinpointed it to this mod because as soon as I disable this one everything loads successfully. I'm running forge by the way.
Snippet from the crash report for context
In reply to Awec4:
Thanks for letting us know, we'll look into it and hopefully have it fixed shortly!
In reply to Awec4:
Seems like it should be fixed by updating HWYLA. If that doesn't do it, then please make an issue report on our github with the full crash log and any other details that may help us.
Not really sure how im supposed to use this mod on forge when the forge version requires a mod thats only available for fabric??
StonecutterRecipeTags doesnt have a forge version, and trying to launch it with the fabric version just spits out an error for the mod.
In reply to Armoured_Motoko:
Sorry bout that, the files were uploaded on there, it was just hard to see them as the fabric versions are the primary files, I'll fix that visibility issue in a moment to help clear up the confusion.
In reply to Armoured_Motoko:
Fixed that, Forge for that should be primary.
This will probably be a temporary change until we fix our primary files next update.
Just thought I'd let everyone know that the Fabric 1.17.1 version works on Fabric 1.18, and the Forge 1.17.1 version works on Forge 1.18. Supported versions for each file have been updated appropriately. Have fun, y'all.
