Description

This datapack ported to mod currently adds 8 dungeons, each one being focused on a different minecraft color. The mod’s goal is eventually to add a dungeon for each minecraft color.

For the moment, the mod will be for 1.21 and 1.21.1 only, after adding a dungeon for all 16 minecraft colors, I will update it to newer versions, no backports.

The mod also adds some new enchantments.

You can use Enchantment Descriptions mod to have in-game descriptions of these enchantments.

Enchantment list:

-Blessing Destroyer: removes positive effects from the target

-Burner: works like fire aspect, but if the target has fire resistance, the effect is removed

-Explosion: summons an explosion on the target, power scales with levels, does NOT destroy blocks

-Lifesteal: (5 * level)% to heal 2 hearts after hitting a mob

-Lightning: summons a lightning on the target

-Overhealing: (5 * level)% to gain 2 temporary absorption hearts for 10 seconds

-Poison: poisons the target for 5 seconds, enchantment level = poison level

-Slowness: slows the target for 5 seconds, enchantment level = slowness level

-Water Spear: Increases damage of trident by 4 each level ONLY when thrown

-Weakness: weaknesses the target for 5 seconds, enchantment level = weakness level

-Wither: withers the target for 5 seconds, enchantment level = wither level

In case you see other enchantments from this mod in JEI, those enchantments are only used for mob/bosses abilities, so don't mind them.

Only some enchantments are currently obtainable, to see what you can get by now, take a look down below at the dungeons loot.

All other enchantments listed here will become obtainable in future dungeons.

These enchantments can be obtained ONLY as dungeon loot.

Do NOT try to cheat using a disenchanter from any mod, as you will NOT be able to put these enchantments on anything. Trying to use an anvil to get an higher level enchantment will NOT work. This is how I want the mod to be played, if you don’t like it, you can change these things through datapack by modifying “supported_items” and “max_level” in colorfuldungeons\enchantment\”the name of the enchantment you are interested in”.json. If you choose to modify these things, the whole mod might become unbalanced, you have been warned.

While exploring dungeons, remember to also look for shulker boxes, droppers, dispensers, hoppers, crafters, and any lootable block you can think of, as they have loot inside as well. Do NOT judge dungeon loot by its appearance, you could find iron swords that have much more damage than diamond swords, always remember to look at every item statistics!

The majority of chest/barrel/dropper/shulker boxes is filled with just basic or aestetic stuff, but all of them can have 1 or more “rare” items, which can be (in the majority of cases) a weapon, an armor piece, or a special item (usually a dye of the same color of the dungeon) that gives you extra damage and/or health. In other cases, it’s just an item that is different from the items that usually appear in that loot table, like a potion of healing inside a food loot table, or a spectral arrow inside an arrow loot table. So you shouldn’t consider a chest or a dungeon in general “not rewarding” just because you don’t find it on your first try(s). Every lootable block has at least 20% to contain this “rare” item, so if you are unlucky, you might have to grind a bit to find it.

The dungeon was small? You have just been unlucky, every level of every dungeon has at least 2 rooms, but if you are lucky enough, it might have over 100 rooms as well. Look for another dungeon and hope to be luckier!

Important ↓

If your PC isn't too good, you might run into FPS lag due to the high number of spawners in the dungeons, the only thing that I can recommend, is lowering your render distance to the minimum, as you don't really need render distance to play inside this mod's dungeons.

Important ↑

Dungeons listed here along with their feature are ordered by difficulty, I do NOT recommend trying a high level dungeon if you struggle completing a low level one. I suggest you to somehow follow this progression, as you might need a dungeon’s gear to defeat the next one in difficulty. Dungeons are intentionally made to be difficult and overwhelm you with a lot of mobs.

I HIGHLY recommend to install Better Combat mod to have a better experience, as you will fight against large hordes of mobs and Better Combat's mechanics allows you to hit multiple mobs with a single sword sweep. This is optional, but dungeons might result very very difficult if you choose to play without Better Combat.
