Carpet is a mod that allows to take full control over your vanilla game.
Carpet is a fabric mod.
Details of the mod:
I just installed it and in the mods list I can see it, but when I enter my world it is as if I had not installed it
In reply to Legend_Es:
Yes, it doesnt do anything. You have to run a command to toggle / do something. So basically you can play world that been loaded with carpet mod in vanilla. For more information :
Crashes every time I launch after adding carpet. (Has been for a couple of versions now and I'm not smart enough to find the conflict.)
Edit: Current versions of carpet/fabric for 1.17 and 1.17.1, no difference.
Edit2: In case anyone else reads this and is still stuck on 1.17, don't update past 1.4.40 or it will crash on launch.
I can't seem to find the 'commandcameramode' option in my 1.17 carpet server I just created. Most of the other commands and features are still there which is good! I just need this one to work...Any recommended troubleshooting?
In reply to blobmonste:
It's a vanilla feature now, opped players can do F3+N to toggle spectator mode, and doing it in spectator mode sends them to the gamemode they were in last
Some one know why carpet dont work in minecraft 1.17.1, dont cashed the game, but it is the unique mod which does not work
In reply to Yullinsky:
Tell us what happened?
In reply to Goobert_Froobert:
fabric is a much more lightweight mod loader better for performance and fabric is always up to date before a version even releases with snapshot versions as from my forge experience once I had to wait 6 months for an update
if you need forge so much just do some searchinghttps://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/forgedcarpetsomeone ported it so there is no need to be toxic to fabric modders before looking for alternative mods or ports
you don't deserve mods.
God forbid someone tried to make another mod loader that doesn't take ages to boot up and is faster to run, you're the reason so many modders switched to fabric in the first place.
But go ahead apparently you're entitled to demand mods on your clunky platform
so im using these mods: architectury, cloth config, control, fabric api, modmenu, REI, shulkerbox tooltip, wthit, Xaeros minimap/worldmap and its crushing when i add carpet. is there any way to stop crushing? it looks like its becouse of fabric api and architectury plz help
In reply to andronixese:
I am also having a crash on startup. Our only mod overlap is Xaero's, modmenu, and, of course, fabric api. I've tried disabling both modmenu and Xaero's and the error remains so you might be right about fabric api. If that's the case, this is a pretty serious issue since fabric api is ubiquitous. Surprised others are not running into similar issues.
I am having a small problem at the moment
when I enabled one of the rules, then set its default to true, I loaded another world and that setting didn't move over to the new world, am I missing something or is this a bug ?
In reply to Bobdoby:
Settings are stored in the world folder instead of the server config folder, see the wiki here: https://github.com/gnembon/fabric-carpet/wiki/Carpet-Configuration
In reply to SeanyBoik:
I see, is there a way to load it every time a new game is created ?Maybe in the form of a datapack maybe, hmmmm
Someone recommended this mod to be used when I want to go explore, but still want to keep crops growing, since they don't, if the player is not close enough.
My question is: What would be the best way to do this?
In reply to HDinis09:
I think it should be /player
Crop growth depends on random tick
Random tick is generated by the player
does it defaults to vanilla or does it activate some fixes right away? (like bedrock breaking) for context: i want it for the dummy player creation to keep my farms properly loaded and the item counters only, but keep everything else untouched.
In reply to guigadj:
it defaults to vanilla
