Bad Wither No Cookie - Reloaded!
Fabric Versions REQUIRE FABRIC API & CLOTH CONFIG
As of 1.18.2, the mod no longer runs on the server and is client sided.
A lightweight universal mod to silence these nasty world wide broadcast sounds:
- Wither
- End Dragon
- Thunder
- and now any sound that any mod makes!
This is especially handy on servers where spawners and/or farms are in use for these mobs. This mod can be installed on a client even if it is not on the server.
Features
Block wither spawn, end dragon death, lightning, thunder, other sounds you care to configure
[1.16.1+] also blocks wither death, wander_trader and llama ambient sounds as well as wither death
Implemented Features:
- config file
- all sound types mentioned in this overview disabled by default
- console output when a sound is silenced also silenced by default
- command to see event sound names: /listen

is your patreon link down? can't click it :/
Can this be installed server side only? or would client also require it client side for it to work ?
In reply to RawrMaoster:
for 1.12.2 and below it is not required on the client. However, if you are' building a mod pack I recommend both sides that way your single player community can benefit from the silence.
Surprised this has so many downloads - I have never in my years of playing Minecraft noticed anything even slightly wrong with the wither or ender dragon sounds. (not saying the mod is bad, just saying I have never noticed neither do I understand the problem it's supposed to be fixing.)

So... does this do the sound how I'd say is right, or does it just completely silence it?
Ideally, you'd have the sound only play within a specified range, whether that's within visual range of the boss (Healthbar showing?) or an arbitrary cutoff, not completely stop it dead regardless.

Would recommend including a link to the 1.10 version in the main post. Make people's lives easier :3
