📖 About:
Backpacked is not just another backpack mod. Besides what you would expect to be added into the mod, Backpacked provides fun gameplay experiences with advancements like challenges. Completing challenges contributes to the customisation of backpacks; a new system that allows players to personalise their backpack with different models.
Players can share items from their backpack with introduction of pickpocketing mechanics. You must be directly behind a player and in arms reach to access their backpack. Don't worry, this can be customised or disabled completely with the plentiful amount of configuration options. From being able to change the backpack storage size, keeping the backpack on death, and much more!
All menus and models in this mod have been designed to keep the vanilla look and feel, perfect for players who don't want to break the vanilla experience. Backpacked includes support for Curios API (recommended) to provide better compatibility.
✅ Features:
- Provides additional inventory storage for players. Press B to open backpack!
- Customise your backpacks with different models. Complete challenges to unlock more backpacks. Collect them all!
- Pickpocketing mechanics. Share items from your backpack with other players.
- Shelves to stow and display your unlocked backpacks in the world. Supports hoppers!
- Tons of configuration options. Ban items from backpacks, change pickpocketing mecahnics, and more!
- Support for Curios API (Minecraft 1.14 and above) and Baubles (Minecraft 1.12.2)
- Developers can add additonal backpacks with an addon
- Vanilla look and feel with polished menus and models!

I eventually found what was wrong with it, my apologies. Thank you MrCrayfish for such a polished mod.
My issue, in case you were interested, was that I (mistakenly) raised the percentage of traders to spawn to 100, which was the opposite of what I was supposed to do. It made it so none of the traders would spawn with inventories to steal from.
Once again, thank you.
Question: do the new backpack enchants function only when a player has them equipped, or will they also function if they're somehow in item form but not equipped? I mostly ask because with some grave mobs that don't automatically re-equip it in the curios slot, it's possible to get the backpack(with items in it) outside of the slot. You can't access it unless you put it on again, though - hence the question.
In reply to Febilian:
They will only work if the backpack is equipped.
awesome mod I hope we can see more skins in the future!
In reply to gamingdragon900:
There will be more but not going to saturate the mod with tons of skins. It's likely Backpacker (an addon for Backpacked) to be turned into a mod that breaks the design rules I have for Backpacked.
Love the new update with the new enchantments. Gotta ask though, is there a way to add new backpack skins via a datapack method or something? Or is that hard coded into the mod? Asking cause I honestly would still love to see a few skins, such as a quiver, to go with the new enchantments but it's not that important in all honesty.
In reply to Jusey1z:
Unfortunately no, it's just not worth the time to implement a system like that. Having that said, it is possible to add more backpacks with an addon and that's probably the best it'll be. I'll either write an example addon mod or link Backpacker for developers to use as a reference.
In reply to MrCrayfish:
Okay, and that makes sense. Ye'h, a good example addon would be nice.
Yes, this mod is really cool. I use it. But please update Vehicle Mod! Nobody can wait any longer!
Why only rabbit skins? Rabbits are hard to find without the right biomes spawning around you.
In reply to Teralitha:
If you find it hard to explore, you can just change it the recipe with a datapack. I am not going to tame the recipe due to not knowing where rabbits spawns.
In reply to MrCrayfish:
I know where they spawn. However, in my current game, there are no biomes in which they spawn for... an unknown distance.. This could just be a rare occurrence. Naturally the game world is infinite and they will be somewhere.... Your previous version of this mod used leather if I remember correctly.
In reply to Teralitha:
Well I just decided to change the recipe. It shouldn't be easy to obtain your first backpack.
In reply to MrCrayfish:
Its K, I traveled far and wide and eventually managed to find some rabbits. Im using BOP, so that could be why there are fewer rabbit biomes around.
any plans to port some of your mods to fabric? i love lots of them
I love this mod.
I am having trouble, though, configuring the amount of slots in the backpack, I tried changing the number of rows and columns but nothing changes when i check the backpack.
Also tried looking through the settings in the serverconfig file but that just has the server settings and not the common.
Please and thank you for help!

Nevermind i just saw the comment by Rhilus!
The sheep backpack is the best.😛 You should do more fun ones, including more cutesy-animals... baby turtle that clings to your back (would be so cool with the Neptunium suit from Aquaculture), baby elephant head, etc.
In reply to WuvWoo:
I will probably add another animal styled backpack in a future update. I am trying to avoid saturating this mod with countless backpacks. I want to make sure each backpack is different enough from the rest to make them feel special.
Hey, is there any way to disable the config button in the backpack's menu? (Not the customization button but the button that opens up the mod config menu)
