Another Annoying Mod adds configurable atmospheric disturbances and harmlessly disruptive events to your Minecraft singleplayer experience. Strange messages appear when you least expect them, unsettling sounds play around you, wooden crosses may appear outdoors, and items can suddenly slip from your inventory.
The goal is simple: make an ordinary world feel slightly wrong.
Features
- **Atmospheric chat messages** selected randomly during gameplay.
- **Random local sound events** played directly for the player.
- **Mysterious wooden crosses** that may appear outdoors in front of the player.
- **Automatic cross cleanup** after an internal lifetime to reduce world clutter.
- **Random inventory drops** that remove and drop a single eligible item from the player's inventory.
- **Protected item system** to prevent especially valuable items from being dropped by default.
- **Automatic loose item cleanup** to reduce lag caused by accumulated dropped item entities.
- **Configurable event toggles and intervals** through the mod configuration file.
- **Localized chat messages** in English, Brazilian Portuguese, European Portuguese and Spanish.
Protected Items
By default, Annoying Mod protects valuable items from random inventory drops, including:
- Netherite materials, equipment and armor
- Ancient Debris
- Netherite Upgrade Smithing Templates
- Elytra
- Totems of Undying
The configuration file also allows you to choose whether armor, tools, weapons, hotbar items, main inventory items and offhand items may be affected by the drop event.
Configuration
./config/annoyingmod.json
Available options include:
- Enable or disable atmospheric messages
- Enable or disable random sounds
- Enable or disable wooden crosses
- Enable or disable inventory drops
- Configure event intervals
- Select allowed wooden fence variants for crosses

Chat message contents are intentionally built into the mod and cannot be replaced through configuration.
Important Gameplay Note
Annoying Mod is designed as an opt-in atmospheric prank mod for singleplayer or personally controlled worlds. Some enabled features intentionally affect gameplay:
- Inventory drop events can remove one eligible item from your inventory and drop it into the world.
- Automatic loose item cleanup may remove dropped item entities from loaded worlds.
Configure the mod before using it in an important survival world.
