What is projectLUMA?
projectLUMA is a shaderpack made for the Minecraft Shaders Mod (OptiFine). It is the official successor of KUDA-Shaders, which has been rewritten from scratch. The aim of projectLUMA is playing Minecraft without the effects distracting you from the gameplay and also most importantly, with low performance cost with still decent graphics.

I've tested quite a decent amount of shaders over the years and this is still the best one. And it's insanely sad that it has been abandoned, especially since it has still a few bugs.
Like someone else already mentioned there's a Nether bug where you get a 2nd screen, this bug doesn't happen in v.1.32 but it's still in the latest version (v.1.54). Simulated Subsurface Scattering makes caves give off huge areas of sunlight upon entering and staying for a couple seconds. Underground Light Leak is buggy too and sometimes doesn't work. Certain areas of water sometimes give off a weird dark cyan visual effect which doesn't look intentional. I've tested how it happens and apparently it has something to do with sunlight interaction. When water is completely under sunlight, everything looks fine. But when water is in a cave or in shadow, it sometimes gives some weird looking dark cyan color effect. This visual effect is mostly reliably replicated on a waterfall that's affected by sunlight but blocked by some blocks above it so it's in shadow. Also this version here, v.1.32, still doesn't have a cave fog option which is an absolute necessity since caves look incredibly bad without turning down the fog to 0.0 and this option is only available in the patreon versions. Also torch RGB strength is imo also a necessity at this point or else the lights are way too weak without it.
The skybox is amazing. The saturation especially is great (I prefer 0.8). And the water is, by far, the best of any shader I've seen.
Genuinely hoping this will get picked up someday again. After playing with this one every other shader just doesn't hold up. PTGI, Ushader and Sildurs can be tuned to look almost identical to this one but no shader can replicate projectLUMAs insane water.
I think this shader needs an update! Its beautiful but now its conflicting with some updated mods. I'd really love to keep using this one so an update would be awesome <3
My issue is with Dokucraft, the sky will be half plain black and then the sky that came with the pack. Then when i removed the shader the sky was fine, but nothing was shaded nicely of course. I'd really love a fix <3
can the 1.32 work for 1.19 at all? i cant seem to run it, i keep getting open gl errors
yep
i have a bug involving this shader pack with iris shaders mod, when going to the nether, i have a normal screen missing some effects, but in the bottom left quarter of my screen there is a duplicate display overlapping the bigger one with the effects. screenshot attached, this only appears in the nether. overworld and end are perfectly fine. my settings are:

just mentioning, my version is 1.54, from the patreon
In reply to z_ludociel:
this bug has been there for years, the dev seems to have abandoned the project
Would it be possible to get this, but only with the water customization?
how can i use my resource pack's vanilla skybox?
Awesome Shader! :D
Keep up the good work!!
I showcased it in German and compared it to other shaders, if someone is interested! :)
My shaders are bugged it as soon as I turn on shaders and everything gets chalk white how can i fix it?
disgustingly good. congratulations on that
Skybox is completely Black using Iris.

In reply to officialnochill:
It was made for Minecraft 1.14.
having some problems with lens flare 😅 could u know how to fix it ?

Sunglasses?
great shader but sky glitch is really annoying
This is on a Minecraft Fabric installation using Iris for shaders support, ligthing is working, shadows are working, the only problem is the skybox
I ran into some issues when using a modpack with a pre-existing skybox. Just a visual glitch though.
In this image, the moon is currently setting.
If I'm doing something wrong, please let me know.
