EXPERIMENTAL GAMEPLAY REQUIREMENTS:

Basic Information

Ha ha! Hello! Before we dive in I’m required to give basic pointers for the addon so that you know what’s going on.

  • Each monster behaves basically the same, but a very few of them will have differences. If they do, it will be specified in their section.
  • Unless specified, each monster will just chill and walk around until they spot a player. When they spot a player they will start chasing the player. When caught, a jumpscare will play.
  • Monsters cannot be killed, Although they can be despawned with a book
  • They do not spawn naturally and have to be spawned through commands or the creative inventory.

With that being said, here is the addon.

Chapter I:

Rin

<figure class="image"></figure>

Rin (凛) is one of the antagonists inside of Book II Chapter I. She is the girl who devoured her own sister, Mio, because of her own jealousy. She retains her red kimono, but it is noticeable that it is slightly dirty at the end of the sleeves and on the chest.

Rin is fast, but you are capable of escaping her. When being pursued by Rin, her chase theme "Mio's Cry" will play until you lose her, or she kills you. There is a chance when being chased by Rin, she will stop in her movement and Mio will roar at you.

Shosai

<figure class="image"></figure>

Shosai (詳細) is one of the antagonists inside of Book II Chapter I. Shosai is a monster inspired from the Kurobozu. Though his inspirations are frequently mistaken for another monster, Akaname.

Shosai is very aggressive and fast, capable of catching up to the player even when they are sprinting. So find a safe spot quickly once you hear him screaming.

Tsukiya

<figure class="image"></figure>

T

sukiya (月弥) is one of the antagonists inside of Book II Chapter I. Inside the game, she is referred to as "The Blind Witch" But she is inspired off the creature Ohaguro-Bettari (お歯黒べったり).

Tsukiya is decently aggressive and smart, but you are still faster than her. Getting away from her will be fairly easily, but don't let that fool you. When being pursued by Tsukiya, her chase theme "The Witch's Wrath" will play until you lose her, or she kills you.

Hyakume

<figure class="image"></figure>

Hyakume (百目) is one of the useless antagonists inside of Book II Chapter I. Hyakume is a gainsboro-colored blob entity with many eyes on every side of its body.

Hyakume is very slow and you can easily escape from him. When being chased, a certain chase theme will play, he shares the same chase theme with the rest of the ship monsters.

Three Eyed Monster (Kishin)

<figure class="image"></figure>

Kishin (鬼神) is one of the antagonists inside of Book II Chapter I. Kishin has the appearance of a black monster that looks skinny in appearance. Its face has three vertical, bloodshot eyes and a big yellow grin.

Kishin is somewhat aggressive and smart. It is fast, but you can only outrun it for a while. When being chased, a certain theme will play, it shares the same chase theme with the rest of the ship monsters.

Kyogi

<figure class="image"></figure>

Kyogi (教義) is one of the antagonists inside of Book II Chapter I. Kyogi is based off of the Yokai, Tenome. Which translates to "eyes on hands."

Kyogi is very aggressive and also fast, while you can still outrun him at first, he will gradually speed up. When being chased, a certain chase theme will play, he shares the same chase theme with the rest of the ship monsters.

Lanterns

<figure class="image"></figure>

Lanterns are a common item found in The Mimic. These Items are used to light up dark areas and help the player see. This chapter comes with two lanterns for the player to play around with. Like the monsters, these items can only be accessed in the creative inventory. When held, they will automatically turn on and then turn off when another item is held.

Lanterns

"Chase themes don't play when the monster sees me".

Due to the system that controls chase themes, They are not bound to work 100% of the time. Sometimes the player is in an odd spot and the game cannot reach you.

"Jumpscare sounds don't play when jumpscared"

Similar issue with the chase themes.

"The monsters aren't getting angry at me / The monsters aren't jumpscaring me."

This is a common issue with every update I've done but I have no clue what causes this.

CREDITS & APPERECIATIONS

  • Big thanks to Txrment for Teasers, Writing the descriptions for the monsters, and being here since the first ever Book II Update.
  • Huge Thanks to The Mimic. They 100% don't know I exist but if I wasn't obsessed with this game and challenged myself to remake the monster my models would of NEVER gotten to this level so far.
  • All sounds for Chapter I content was grabbed from The Mimic Wiki and Youtube.
