899 - SVN login fails

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Try to commit via SVN
2. Enter username and password
3. Error: Username does not exist

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect: commit to succeed
See instead: Error: Username does not exist

At what time and date (year, month, day) did you get this bug? (Include your timezone)
latest attempt at 18:05 GMT+1

Please provide any additional information below.
I tried various passwords, none of them worked. I even tried setting the password using the webform and that didn't complain. I am not using svn+ssh:, just plain svn:.
