698 - Project Pages: Download links
I think the the "Download" link should be changed to automatically download the most current zip and add a "Change Log" link that does what the "Download" link does now. Optionally, put the "Download" link text in bold.

| StormFX | Sun, 05 Oct 2008 19:03:42 | Changed name from A few enhancements/suggestions to Project Pages: Download links Changed component from None to Component #51 Changed description: - - Author pages offer sub-pages so that an author can create tutorials, etc, under their "home page" with a link menu as mentioned above. - - (As an alternative for the two above, author and project pages could offer a "Links" section that the author can add links to various related content. | StormFX | Sun, 05 Oct 2008 19:00:55 | Changed description:- I have a few suggestions for enhancing the project pages: - - - Any sub-pages created under a project provide a menu of links. Torhal Tue, 08 Nov 2011 19:44:22This is a developer site, not a distribution site. Plus, the ticket is three years old. Closed.

anmoch Mon, 06 Oct 2008 07:07:30See, much easier to track that way. (How do you close a ticket of four issues once one of them has been resolved?)
I'm prepared to revert to -3 if by "repel the trolls" you meant me :P

StormFX Sun, 05 Oct 2008 18:37:12My understanding is that manually setting them to a "Release" accomplishes the same thing in regards to syndication to Curse, though I could be wrong. I haven't tagged any of my projects and they're all over there. It didn't happen right away, but meh, who cares? But this is irrelevant to the original point.
P.S. I see now that separating the issues would have help in the "voting" process.
P.P.S. Per CK's instructions on creating a ticket, I'm separating these issues. Since most of the comments refer to the Download link suggestion, I leave this ticket for that issue.

anmoch Sun, 05 Oct 2008 17:08:20Huh? You have to tag if you want the project to sync over to curse.com.

StormFX Sun, 05 Oct 2008 14:53:13Anmoch: I thought about separating them, but they're all related. -3 for not spamming? OK. :P
Arrowmaster: Using tags is fine for add-ons that actually need testing phases, but they're not a necessity for every project. The idea was to get the project author's version on the main project page.
You're right, this isn't Curse. But people still use it.

anmoch Sun, 05 Oct 2008 13:42:10While I do think some points have some merit, I still give you -3 for failing to properly separate issues into tickets, plus Arrowmaster's objection.

Arrowmaster Sun, 05 Oct 2008 12:39:11This isn't www.curse.com, we don't need large bolded direct download links on the project pages. And the version should be in the tag name that the file is generated from.
