3422 - Cannot upload new file to existing project

Common Issues FAQ: http://www.curseforge.com/wiki/knowledge-base/common-issues-faq/ Curse Client support: http://clientsupport.curse.com/ Curse Premium support: http://curse.cursesupport.com/

- Within the last hour: I clicked on Upload File for my project Woocraft I get the new simplified interface (which I dislike BTW) I click to Choose File for my new image. I click to Choose File my new Woocraft release Woocraft_1.5.0_v1.zip (it is 25.9M). I click accept the terms. then I click Submit.

The upload proceeds to 100% then I get the message

Error An error occurred processing your request. (something like this, very non-descriptive)

I have tried - recreating the .zip (just in case zip was corrupt, certain it wasn't but worth a try) - without the image, just the zip.

Same result everytime.

That's good to hear. I'm sorry it took us a while to fix this.

If you run into any issues in the future, be sure to report it on the new support site: http://support.curse.com, and it will get to us much faster.

    Hi Prencher,

Looks like you found the limit I was hitting. I can guarantee that with my slow connection the failures were over two minutes. The new timeout is working so far.

    Thank you

    @kyctarniq: Go

Since my last reply, we actually increased the upload timeout to 10 minutes (it was unintentionally set to 2 minutes), but we've been seeing weird issues with artificial speed limitations in our tests timing out after just 4 minutes.

How long does it take for your upload to fail? Can you try uploading a file and time it for an exact measure by chance?

I am curious. I am experiencing the problem on large texture packs. Since we know size is not the issue maybe time is. I live in Australia and my link is not the fastest. Might I be hitting some time out on the upload. I am experiencing this problem regardless of the browser but the browser does change the size of file the problem appears on. So the problem is on the interaction not inherent in the browser. I wonder if this might help.

I had expected this result because if it were an easy problem to reproduce testing would likely have caught it.

    Hi kyctarniq,

I'm very sorry for the very late reply.

I've been unable to reproduce your issue with the files you linked, I have successfully uploaded them to a test project.

Can you screenshot the exact page you get when it errors for you? I'm hoping that will help track it down.

This problem is not limited to one texture pack. I have this problem for all my large texture packs. My FTB_Mindcrack texture pack fails to upload.

Thank you for looking into this Prencher,

There are several texture packs (three for certain) now that will not upload. Here is a link to one.

If you need anything else please let me know. I have tried several browsers and several computers. Trying to discover the variables that effect this. All give the non-specific error message as the upload tries to complete.

Hi Kyctarniq, can you please attach the texture pack causing problems to this issue?

    Thanks!
