What steps will reproduce the problem?  Please provide as much detail as possible.
1.  On wowace.com
2.  Do a search for GatherMate2
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
List addons with the word gathermate2 in them and only showing addons with gathermate

At what time and date (year, month, day) did you get this bug? (Include your timezone)
Oct 14 2010

Please provide any additional information below.
I suspect that the index's need to be rebuilt and this probably occurs for other newly created addons or forks like gathermate to gathermate2.

    Two months later, still no fix, still no acknowledgment of the problem.

    Is anyone ever going to look into this?

    So how many more months is this gonna remain unfixed?

    Just wondering if I should take my addons and move them to a site that actually displays my projects in user's search results.

    My users are now complaining about this.

    How hard is it to refresh the search index? Can we disable the search feature entirely until the index is fixed? Currently it's so outdated that it gives the wrong impression of what's available - it would really be better to drop in a free Google Custom Search:
    http://www.google.com/cse/manage/create

    Here's the HTML for a Google Custom Search I created in 5 minutes that could be dropped into the website and already gives better results than the current search engine:

    <div id="cse" style="width: 100%;">Loading</div>
    <script src="http://www.google.com/jsapi" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
      google.load('search', '1', {language : 'en'});
      google.setOnLoadCallback(function() {
        var customSearchControl = new google.search.CustomSearchControl('014003284347860079526:3ydkgowuqd8');
        customSearchControl.setResultSetSize(google.search.Search.FILTERED_CSE_RESULTSET);
        customSearchControl.draw('cse');
      }, true);
    </script>

    I now have 2 addons that I've created in the past few months, CombatTime and ProfessionsVault, neither of which appears in the search results when you type in the exact name of the addon.

    It seems the search database hasn't been updated in months and hence all the results are several months "stale". At this point replacing the search box with an embedded Google search box would be more effective.
