Currently, when a ticket is marked as Waiting, and a project author posts a comment, the ticket is automatically remarked as Replied. However, 99% of the time, the ticket is waiting for a response from the ticket submitter, not from a project author. It would be nice if comments from project authors didn't auto-mark Waiting tickets as Replied.
It's less than ideal to post a follow-up comment asking for more information, or suggesting a solution, and have the ticket marked as Replied; I usually forget that this happens, and then the next time I'm looking at the ticket list I see "Replied" and click on the ticket, thinking the submitter finally responded, only to realize that I forgot to undo the auto-marked Replied status after posting my comment.
