2008 - Authorization failed trying to commit files
When I try to commit files to my repository using TortoiseSVN, I enter my username and password, and get the message:
Authorization failed
If I enter a garbage password, I get a different message:
Authentication error from server: Password incorrect
Although I am not using SSH, I note that the page which describes SSH authentication has the following under "Common Error Messages:"
SVN error: "Authorization failed": the SSH authentication succeded but you do not have the privilege to access the repository, it may be because the repository is private and you are not listed in the author list or because the project has been abandonned or deleted. Finally it sometimes happens when the authorization script bugged, you will have to contact an site administrator.
I surmise that since I am listed in the author list and this project (RankWatch) is neither abandoned nor deleted, that the third possibility has occurred.
Please unbug the authorization script for this repository so that I can commit files.

Lombra Tue, 09 Mar 2010 00:00:43(Sorry for bumping, but) I have this issue, too, with my experimental (relevant?) addon GeneralPurpose. Set up the repository a couple of weeks ago, changed repo password a few times, but it still doesn't work.

Eurytus Wed, 02 Dec 2009 02:46:25I have the same exact issue with my project eAlign. I have tried everything to see if it's something wrong I am doing since this is my 1st project and I'm mainly just trying to learn the basics, but I can not figure this one out.
edit: Mine's working now.
