1823 - Comment from any user changes status from Waiting to Replied
Do not submit questions asking for help with specific addons here. Please ask usability questions on the numerous forums out there. For addon specific bugs, please submit a ticket for that specific addon. Tickets which do not follow these rules will be marked as invalid.
What steps will reproduce the problem? Please provide as much detail as possible.
1. Find a ticket (that you did not create) with the Waiting status.
2. Post a comment on that ticket's page.
3. Observe that the ticket's status has changed from Waiting to Replied.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect that in most cases, the author/manager/ticket manager who set the status to Waiting is expecting a new comment from the ticket's originator. However, if ANY user posts a new comment for that ticket, the ticket's status is changed to Replied. (Perhaps this is intended, but it seems counterintuitive to me.)
At what time and date (year, month, day) did you get this bug? (Include your timezone)

Nandini Sun, 27 Sep 2009 15:01:26I agree that making this work any differently would probably hurt the ticket resolution process as much as or more than it would help, so I'm going to abandon this ticket. Thanks for your feedback!

Kaelten Wed, 23 Sep 2009 13:44:16It is more or less working as intended. It does make sense that any reply would mark it as replied. Even the original author's own comment does as they may figure the answer out themselves.

Nandini Wed, 23 Sep 2009 11:33:26This is true. Perhaps authors are simply unaware of how this status change works. (I've been chewed out by two authors for changing a ticket's status to "Replied" when in fact all I did was comment on a ticket in cases where the original ticket creator hadn't responded to the author's question in weeks.)

Zasurus Tue, 22 Sep 2009 23:30:18It does kinda make sence to me. Even if the author was waiting for a responce from the original poster it may be that another user has provided the answer and that way the author and review the answer and if its not correct or relevent to what he/she is waiting for then change the status back to "Waiting" :)
