Curse Client 4.0.0.607, Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7600.0
Description
Currently if there is an addon on Curse and on WoWI it is defaulting to the Curse version. The problem with this seems to be that some addons are still on Curse but not updated (Aloft is an example).

Adamar Tue, 29 Sep 2009 18:28:52We currently have a system in place for syndicating addons from WowInterface. You can see this in action by installing Carbonite.
The only way the Curse Client can offer updates from other sites is when the addon is setup for syndication. In the case of Titan Panel [Recommended Zone], I have just setup the syndication feed, so you should soon get proper update notification.

personanongratis Thu, 24 Sep 2009 04:00:10Another addon that is currently a problem is Titan Panel [Recommended Zone] (formally on Curse as Titan Panel [Rec Zone] REBORN). The one that was on Curse was noted as not by the author, and apparently is no longer available on Curse, yet V4 is trying to update it to a really old version (11/16/07 v2.2.2) compared to the one available on WoWI (8/17/09 v3.0.3). V4 is also reporting the installed version as 2.1.1 when the .toc version is 3.0.3. Since V4 can recognize addons from WoWI, it would be nice if it could compare them to see which is more recent, then recommend updating based on which is newer. I do not know how V4 decides when an addon needs to be updated, but it would appear that it is not from the .toc since in this case the .toc version is higher then the "Latest Version" reported by V4.

VertigoFox Thu, 24 Sep 2009 03:29:55I just use minion after ive used curse for issues like this. It seems that the only addons that are not copied on both sites are on WWI. I highly doubt that you will have cross compatablility between the sites.
