Nandini Wed, 07 Oct 2009 22:42:54I'm happy with the current method of closing windows with the Esc key, so I'm changing my vote back to zero.

Nandini Wed, 16 Sep 2009 16:03:52Ctrl-W and Ctrl-F4 are both commonly used conventions for closing child windows. I would also appreciate this functionality.
This applies to the "Curse Client Patch Notes" window, the "Options" window, the "About" window, the "Report a Curse Client Bug" window, an addon's "Changelog" window, an addon's "Description" window, and an addon's "Report a Bug" window.
Because none of these windows are modal, and there can never be more than 1 of each type open at any given time, I would expect them to be closed with the Ctrl-F4/Ctrl-W combination rather than (or in addition to) the Alt-F4 combination. (I would actually prefer that Alt-F4 be reserved for closing the main application window, but I understand if all these combinations are allowed for child windows.)
Edit: In fact, some of these windows SHOULD probably be modal. (Example: there may be unwanted interactions with changing configuration options in the Options window while simultaneously downloading and installing an addon.)
The fact that they are NOT modal is extremely helpful though for beta testing, as this allows me to report bugs using the built-in interface while simultaneously reviewing my Options window.
