Curse Client v4 - Windows

2085 - Cannot start CC4

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start Windows or double-click CC4 icon
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect CC4 to start, but instead I get a dialog box that says "Cannot Start Application: Application cannot be started. Contact the application vendor."  There is a Details.. button, which when pressed opens CAN4NHWN.log which I'll attach.

What version of the product are you using?

Version 4. I was able to start it this morning, and there was apparently a patch today, so I have the most recent version, as far as I know.

Do you have an error log of what happened?

    Thanks, that seemed to work!

Thanks for attaching the log file.

Somehow your ClickOnce application store has gotten corrupted. It is unfortunately a known issue with ClickOnce applications, and is well documented. We've contacted Microsoft, hoping to get a fix or workaround.

You can correct the problem by doing the following:

    1. From the Windows Start menu choose Run (Or Windows Key + R)
    2. Enter the following, depending on your version of Windows, then click the OK button:

      On Windows XP: %userprofile%\Local Settings\Apps
      (e.g. C:\Documents & Settings\Username\Local Settings\Apps)

      On Windows VISTA / 7: %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Apps
      (e.g. C:\users\Username\AppData\Local\Apps)

    3. Delete the 2.0 folder
    4. Run or Install Curse Client v4
