By default, Curse Client v4 will add a shortcut to the Windows desktop after it is initially installed and subsequent application updates. This behavior can be changed by going to the Tools menu and selecting Options. In the 'Main' tab within the 'Startup & Shortcuts' group is an option labeled 'Automatically add a Curse Client v4 shortcut to the Windows desktop'.
