I was told to reply here but I don't have an ESET firewall but anyhow...

What Product are you using - Eset Anti Virus (EAV) What version of the product are you using? ESET NOD32 AntiVirus 3.0.650.0

Does disabling the firewall resolve the issue? As far as I know, there is no firewall to disable. Disabling AV does not help

    @Quildra: Go

Both of these versions are quite old, i would recommend you update Eset to V4, its a free upgrade and can be found at www.eset.com or www.eset.co.uk using your existing username and password, please post any comments back here after upgrading to let me know how its going.

    Many Thanks

Upgrading to version 4.0.424.0 does seemed to have solved the problem although there is an initial period (1-2minutes) of high cpu usage from EAV, but it no longer prevents curse from loading

Latest version is 4.0.467 and although I get the annoying warning when curse client starts up about ESET, I am not having any problems. Using Eset Smart Security Suite on Win 7 64 bit RTM.

What Product are you using -Eset Smart Security

What version of the product are you using? 3.0.684.0

Does disabling the firewall resolve the issue? I had to disable both the firewall and anti-virus filter all though i am not happy to do so. I will be uninstalling client 4.0 ASAP

Installed Version 4 of Eset SSS and it works perfectly now. With Version 3 I had to disable the firewall and AV the same as brilderee has done.

So if you are using version 3 of Eset, download version 4 and all your problems will be solved with version 4 of the Curse Client.

I'm using ESET SMART SECURITY 4 on windows xp, it seems that Curse Client seems to be a bit, not TOO MUCH, slow. Is there a way to make ESET not scan any actions done by curse client?

    EAV 4.0.467 (64 Bit) Windows 7 Professional X64

So far everything is working well with the firewalls up and no connection issues at all. I've seen vast improvments in performance going from EAV 3 to EAV 4 when I was on Vista/7 Beta ... Those on 3 I'd suggest you get 4, it'll help a lot

    Windows Vista Business x64

What Product are you using - Eset Anti Virus (EAV) or Eset Smart Security Suite (ESS): EAV

What version of the product are you using? 3.0.672.0

Does disabling the firewall resolve the issue? Disabling EAV completely did resolve the issue. Did have several problems with version 4 of EAV so i'll not update.

    Windows 7 RC Build 7100 x64

    ESET NOD32 Antivirus v. 3.0.684.0

"Game Database" in the loading screen won't pass resulting in the application not starting. CPU Usage rises about 10% each time i start the program (atm at 65% on my i7 940 CPU (high-end games usually uses about 10-20%)) and remains even after exiting the program only to further increase the next start.

EDIT: Updating NOD32 to v. 4 completely solved my issues.
